The Answer

You’ve been missing
for some time now
I wonder if you’ll ever
show your lovely face.

I’ve looked for you
in nooks
and crannies,
in cupboards
occupied by
glassware and
plates.

I’ve lifted the rugs
lying in my hallway

and peeked in the linen
closet, just to be sure.

Perhaps you’re hiding
in the bathtub, a sneaky
spot to stay and a Psycho
scene reversed.

One last place I thought
to check, glancing under
the bed…the only thing that
stared me back were the dust
bunnies playing dead.

Now I fear my time has
been nothing but a waste,
for whether you arrive or not
I’ll greet each new day with Faith.

Out of Our Hands

Beautiful Blooms June 2011 006

Life’s events
stun and surprise us
some lovely and wonderful
others filled with sadness

Though we search and try
with all of our might
questions remain
with no answers in sight

So we cast our burdens
Let Him carry us through
for only He knows best
in everything we do

We watch our worries
fall to the floor
and feel freedom at last
with no thoughts at war

Our minds are at ease now
a breath of fresh air
Moving forward again
In our pocket, a prayer

Blogging Break…

Dear Friends,

I need to take a little break
from blogging and maybe even facebook.

There are some things in life that need my attention right now.
So I’m going to miss you all and I thank you, once again,
for your likes, comments and follows!
I may be a little slow in doing the same,
but please know my good intentions are there..

and I do appreciate your continued support.

I don’t know how long I’ll be “away,”
it may just be for a short time,
or it could be longer,

but I wish you all much happiness and
I look forward to returning to your inspirational
writing and photography.

I’m not crazy about “good-byes”
so instead, I say “See you later,”

and I’ll close this post with a
recent acrostic I wrote from early March
for those special friends in our lives…

including online! 🙂

SUN RAYS

For who wants to be alone?
Reveling in life’s joy or weeping
In between those moments; I’ll be your
Everlasting support, a listening heart,
Never will I take you for granted, for you are a
Dear soul who I can grow with, without growing apart

Stay Happy, Healthy and Safe and I’m sending Hugs your way!  ♥

Life’s Precious Gems (A Nonet)

I’ve recently learned a new form of poetry, called a Nonet,
which consists of nine lines.

The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables,
the third line seven syllables, etc… until line nine finishes with one  syllable.

I’ll keep you forever and always

staying true to daily actions

and to every word I say,

for you are a golden

jewel in my life

and in my heart

I love you

dearly,

Friend

Another Time

In another life
there’d be no
shattered hearts
no lashing tongues
no broken parts
second chances would be
pearls in our palms
there’d be no storm
only divine calm
no hurting souls
feeling empty inside
In another time
love would weave
through lives
creating peace
and a will to survive

Make Time For…

Dancin’ down the street
sendin‘ good vibes to those you meet
for raisin’ your arms high in the air
and lettin’ the wind blow your hair
for smellin’ the flowers along the way
and thankin’ God for another day
for sharin’ a smile to a stranger you see
and in their eyes findin’ glee
for rollin’ down a hill of grass
feelin’ like a kid with class
for eatin’ ice cream in summer sun
for enjoyin’ life and livin’ and fun
for singin’ with raindrops
and puddle splashin’ in flip flops
for lots of laughin’ and tappin’
and huggin’ and lovin’

Ripples

Hug a little
Jig a little
Kiss a little
Skip a little
Touch a little
Smile a little
Sigh a little
Try a little
Help a little
Laugh a little
Walk a little
Talk a little
Lend a little
Bend a little
Live a little
