Do you have a family member or friend who is constantly taking photos? Do you have moments when you just don’t want to be the subject? I do, I have and I’ve been the guilty one clicking away.
Copper’s been in our family for over three years now and I think we’ve taken about a million photos of him (slight exaggeration). But for those of you who own pets, don’t you agree there can never be too many pictures of our furry friends?
I took the first three when he had better things to do (like chew on his bone). However, he complied but not without attitude. 🙂 He weighs about 74 lbs, is tall and lean and all muscle, which is why this first photo makes me smile. In the photos following, you’ll see his true self.
“Time’s almost up”
“I’m done!”
and now some photos from my son…
and lastly, with me
I hope you enjoyed this peek into Copper’s life
and I wish you a smooth and peaceful start to your new week!
Lots of Love, Lauren 🙂 ♥
Copper is so cute, Lauren!! He reminds me of Scooby Doo ❤
-Naima
Thanks so much, Naima, and that’s exactly who he reminds us of, too, especially when you see his shadow while walking him. 🙂 ♥
Lauren, thanks for sharing photos of Copper, He is so cute! Give him a hug from me. Hugs to you, dear friend.
Thanks, Michelle! He was a handful when we first adopted him but he’s mellowed out quite a bit and really just adds so much unconditional love to our lives. He’s a big baby and loves hugs so I’ll be sure to pass one on to him for you. Big hugs to you also! ♥
Thanks for the nice pics of your poodle, Lauren…we have yet not started having a pet at home, but might soon go in for a dog once our traveling days are over. To you too, a happy week ahead…
I’m glad you enjoyed them, Raj, and I hope you share your puppy pics too when you begin that new adventure. 🙂 Thanks for your good week wishes, too!
Thanks for giving us a glimpse of your beauty, Lauren.
You’re very welcome, Jean, and thank you! It’s been awhile since I shared Copper and I was ready for a fun post for a change. I’m still thinking of doing a post about our little downtown, too, which was inspired by you. It’s still a work in progress…:)
Dogs are such fun. Look forward to your Down Town. Keep at it.
Absolutely gorgeous Lauren! These photos melted my heart. Copper is so beautiful. And those eyes!!! The first one made me smile. Jack acquires ‘the look’ when I start with the camera; they are so patient, bless them. Big cuddle for gorgeous Copper 😊❤️ Xxx
Thanks so much, Chris! I’m glad he had the same effect on you that he does on us.You know we found him online on a rescue website and his color and eyes just stood out. He was a handful in the beginning but is doing much better and is well trained now, too. And he’s such a love bug. I’ll cuddle him for you if you do the same for handsome Jack! 🙂 We’re both blessed to have our wonderful canine companions. ♥ xo
Your cuddle for Jack has been duly passed on! 😊 xxx
Yay! Copper’s still sleeping but he’ll get his soon! 🙂 ♥
Ah-ha-ha….I know exactly what you mean! We can never get enough. They are born photogenic these heart thieves! Copper is just gorgeous!!!!
A pat on his head from me! Love, hugs and wishes for a beautiful new week! 🙂 xxxxx
Aww, Marina, I love your “heart thieves” perspective, which is so true. How they wrap themselves around our hearts is very smooth and then we’re goners (in a great way)! 🙂 I’ll give him that pat on the head for you and enjoy your week, my friend! ♥ xo
He’s truly loved. ❤️
There is no doubt, Shian! He melted us from the beginning and I think his eyes had a lot to do with it. Have a great week! ♥
I always love seeing Copper photos 🙂 Dogs are so awesome and become a true part of the family. I miss my Dob and will probably get another one soon. Great pics Lauren!
Thanks, Scott, and he definitely wrapped himself around our hearts in no time. They do become part of the family and to this day, we still think of Lucky Girl. The kids grew up with her so she’ll still remain a big part of us forever. I hope you do get a dog soon and can’t wait for those pics! 🙂
Copper is so adorable! 🙂
Thanks so much, Roxi! He’s about 4 1/2 years old now but he’s still a big lovable puppy! 🙂
Well, you know I consider Copper very photogenic and a very fine fellow, Lauren! I definitely take more photographs of my kitties than of humans. XO ❤
I know you do, Diane and thanks again! 🙂 I love your kittie photos, too! We just can’t have enough! ♥ xoxo
Those are some very nice pictures.
Dogs are such tolerant animals!
Thanks so much, Binky, and dogs are very tolerant. All they want is to please their family and be loved…
And be fed!
We have boxes of photos (now files) of all our dogs since the first…more of them than of anything else, with the garden running a distant second. But then they run our lives.
Hi Victoria, it’s good to know I’m not alone in the way I feel. Yes, they run our lives even though we want to believe the opposite and it’s all so worth it…thanks for stopping by!
Photography captures moments and allows us to have a visual of our memories.
Which is why I love it! We have many photo albums before the digital age and every so often we’ll sit down and flip through them. What surreal moments to look back on life, on family and friends..I love digital cameras but in a way, I miss the old fashioned film…
Adorable photos! I take pictures of my cats every day, it never gets old. I have a friend who got professional photos taken with her dog for fun.
Thanks so much and I’m glad to hear you’re just like me with taking photos of your cat. I’ve heard of professional pet shots but haven’t gone to that extreme, yet. 🙂
I’m the same way with my dog! I actually have been taking so many photos of my dear old pooch Alex that I had to make an Instagram account for him! (Too many dog videos and photos for my Vegan Instagram account) Thanks for sharing photos of yours here. I love dogs (and all animals).

That’s great to hear, Romina, although I haven’t ventured into Instagram yet! 🙂 I appreciate all of your visits and I will visit your site soon, too!
Enjoyed those pics Lauren, he definitely has his own personality, the second one made me laugh, reminds me of my Army days and the drill sergeant yelling at me, Are You Eyeballing Me Mister
Thanks, Ian, and yeah, that second pic is funny. I can just imagine your drill sergeant. 🙂
I like the perspective on your sons shots esp the one at sunrise.
Thanks so much, Charlotte. We’re lucky to have him still living at home. He’s good with technology, too. 🙂
