A Calming Landscape

When the sun ascends
and birdsong fills the mountain
air, when lake water
cleanses every ounce of us,
we are lost in nature’s home.

When the trail leads us
into depths of silence and
mountains touch the azure sky,
when wildflowers paint the land,
all senses become spellbound.

  1. Such a beautiful poem with wonderful landscape views .. I think we all need at times to walk that trail of silence.. And look deep within the heart of flowers…
Much love Lauren.. ❀ Have a beautiful weekend

    1. Thanks so much, Sue, and I agree. We all need that walk on the trail of silence (love that wording, by the way) every now and then. Much love to you, too, and wishing you the same. πŸ’—πŸŒ·πŸ’—πŸŒ·

  2. Hi Lauren, This poem is very sensuous, in that I can feel and smell and hear the sounds of silence when in nature. Like you say well, I am spellbound. In a few, beautifully chosen words, you have captured Nature. Beautiful!

    1. Thanks very much for your lovely words, Erica. There is definitely something magical about silence in the mountains. And I’m about ready to experience that magic again. Hope you’ve been well. πŸ’—πŸ’—
