When the sun ascends
and birdsong fills the mountain
air, when lake water
cleanses every ounce of us,
we are lost in natureβs home.

When the trail leads us
into depths of silence and
mountains touch the azure sky,
when wildflowers paint the land,
all senses become spellbound.

I have a special spot where I can find quietness and an uplift of spirits like that. This morning I was fortunate to spend time there with three black swans and their young.
That sounds wonderful, Ian. We all need to have a special place to recharge and unwind. Have a good day!
Ian, I also have some catching up to do on your new story after realizing you’re on Chapter 3 already. π I missed a lot while away.
Thank you for this upliftment, Lauren. β€ xXx β€
Iβm grateful my words and poems were uplifting to you, Jane. Sending much love, dear friend. ππππ¦π¦π¦
Nature can be very soothing.
It sure can. Thanks, Binky, and happy Friday!
Such a beautiful poem with wonderful landscape views .. I think we all need at times to walk that trail of silence.. And look deep within the heart of flowers…
Much love Lauren.. β€ Have a beautiful weekend
Thanks so much, Sue, and I agree. We all need that walk on the trail of silence (love that wording, by the way) every now and then. Much love to you, too, and wishing you the same. ππ·ππ·

Hi Lauren, This poem is very sensuous, in that I can feel and smell and hear the sounds of silence when in nature. Like you say well, I am spellbound. In a few, beautifully chosen words, you have captured Nature. Beautiful!
Thanks very much for your lovely words, Erica. There is definitely something magical about silence in the mountains. And I’m about ready to experience that magic again. Hope you’ve been well. ππ
