Days roll by at a snail’s pace
Everywhere I turn I see your wonderful face
I’m sleeping with a dark cloud above my bed
I can’t seem to shake you out of my head
Maybe she’s better for you than me
but I can’t see it…we were meant to be

Each time we kissed,
the ground was a wave
beneath our feet
Didn’t you feel it, too?
My naiveté shines through

Inside my heart,
you won’t find resentment
Our moments we shared
bring me contentment
To win you back,
there’ll be no childish ploy
Into your future,
I only wish you joy

MEMORIAL DAY MEMORIES AND WISHES XO

Hello Everyone,

I’ll be away this weekend spending
time with my Dad and Sisters,
so I’ll lose blogging momentum,
once again.
If I’m unable to catch up,
I hope your understanding continues
and I’ll see you next week.

Additionally, along with all
the bbqs, gatherings with family
and friends, I sincerley hope
we all remember what this
holiday is genuinely all about…

“OUR MILITARY GAVE UP THEIR TOMORROWS
SO WE COULD HAVE OURS”

It is the 
VETERAN,
 not the preacher,
 who has given us freedom of religion.

  
It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

   
It is
the VETERAN,
 not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

  It is
the VETERAN,
 not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag, 


 
It is
the
VETERAN
who serves
under the Flag, 

 

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD,

AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM~

within your sky of dreams
I ask you to open your heart
repair the broken seams
I apologize for words unsaid
for those said time and again
To hurt you is not my intention
I often wonder how you’ve been
I only wish to see you smile
hear you laugh among the trees
I only long to hold you close
feel your breath beside the breeze
Chances don’t come freely
I know this in my heart
My plea you’ll hear one more time
to keep us ne’er apart
