Yes, secrets and thorns. Wow! π I know, aren’t they gorgeous, Marina? I just love how this one in our yard is flourishing, and I hope it stays well as we head into a drought and water rationing. Thanks about the haiku, too, my friend. Hugs! ππΊπ
They are gorgeous! I think they do well with minimum watering too. They are very popular in Greece, especially in the islands where water can be a problem, so…
I loved your haiku!
Many more hugs your way!

Lovely haiku! We have several bougainvillea plants in our yard… I love them! Interesting factoid: the colorful “flowers” aren’t really flowers; they are bracts. The actual bougie flower is that small white thing (or, hidden secret π ) in the center of each one.
Thanks, Janice, and such an interesting factoid, too. π Iβm glad you shared with me because I had no idea! And youβre right, thatβs one of the hidden secrets. π πΊ
Thanks so much, Teagan. I appreciate you stopping by and I’ll visit you soon. I’m working on my book and trying to blog at the same time, as I know you’re doing the same. Sending hugs to you, too! β€οΈπΊπ₯°
Aww, thanks for your lovely words, Sue. I walk by this beauty each day in the yard and had to share. π Love and hugs to you and wishing you the same. β€οΈβ€οΈ
Both beautiful, the poem and the flowers.
Joanna

So many shades of color in those flowers. We have a couple of them in our back yard and some dwarf varieties in pots.
