This little “Mom” decided to build her home
for her babies in my sister’s backyard.
I wasn’t able to see them, but it was very exciting
for my sister and her family! ♥
Oh how wonderful for your sister! Fab photos and lovely haiku Lauren ❤ Xxx
She was so excited; she sent out an email to all of the family! 🙂 It is pretty neat and Chris, my Mom loved hummingbirds and I know she would have loved seeing this, too…Thanks for your kind words! ♥ xo
Yes I agree an amazing treat for your sister and her family.
Thanks, Kim..I wish I could see it, too, but we’re only about 500 miles apart! 🙂
I know I’m far from my sister too. 🙂
My family’s always been within an hour away. Then 15 years ago, we moved closer to my hubby’s family. I was willing and I love the area better, but it’s always been hard with the distance. I wish I could have lunch or go shopping with my sisters often and of course, see my Dad more often, too…oh, well, I talk to them all the time, so it’s okay…sorry for the long winded reply! 🙂
It’s okay. That’s why I like FB. I get to talk with my family and we share photo’s.
I know and we also use just plain old email, too! 🙂
🙂
how sweet it is!
It sure is and I just had to do a post since I can’t see them personally! Thanks, Geraldine!

Thanks so much, Soumyav!

Thanks, Joe, it’s always special to witness something like this…

Thanks, Renee, and I’m thinking of my Mom now because she loved hummingbirds and would have loved this, too! ♥
Heart Prints for you~ ♥
And hugs to you! ♥
VERY NICE, WE USUALLY GET A NEST IN THE BLINDS ON THE BACK PATIO BUT DON’T SEE ONE YET THIS SPRING.

Thanks, Deb! You know Mom would love this, too!
Loved the pics of the birds – eggs – nest. Everything !! We have a couple of robins casing our back patio for real estate. It’s a regular occurrence so we welcome them back every spring. V
Thanks, Virginia, and I hope they decide to move in! It’s pretty exciting! xx
How adorable for your sister and family – thanks for sharing with us! ♥
Definitely, thanks so much, Christy! ♥
That’s amazing – right next to humans too.
Indeed, pretty cool to witness, Eric! 🙂
That’s something you don’t see!
Not often, I know!
Oh, how wonderful for your sister, Lauren! And thank you for sharing. I so enjoyed the pics and your haiku … have never seen a picture of baby hummingbirds in the nest before. XO ♥
I’m glad you enjoyed this, Diane! We’ve never experienced this, either, and I would think that especially hummingbirds would be some of the most difficult to get this close to. My sister and her family go in and out of the house each day (in the backyard) and walk right by the nest and “Mama” just stays there, protecting her little ones…Thanks for your comment! ♥
