I’m thankful for
my parents, who brought me
into this world
They had two lovely daughters
Then another little girl
They’ve lived into their nineties
Seen new changes along the way
Each day, I think of them
Each day, for them, I pray
I’m thankful for
my husband, I’m the lucky one
for all he does for me
for how he shares his heart
and gives of himself so lovingly
I’m thankful for
my children, my daughter and my son
for who they’ve grown to be
for their love and compassion
they give so generously
I’m thankful for
all those unmentioned, they know who they are
and for my loving dog who passed
She’ll be our forever star…
for sight, so I may see
all of God’s creation
for sound, so I may hear “I Love You”
with tremendous elation…
and last, but not forgettable
for all of you
my friends in the blogging world
May your Thanksgiving be
absolutely wonderful!
Hugs and Blessings
Lauren

Thanks so much for your kind words, PJ, and for your Thanksgiving wish to me! I’m glad we met, too! It’s been a wonderful experience getting to know you and being inspired by your words! 🙂
This made me smile.
I think I may write a poem of thankfulness this week too.
Thanks so much; I’m glad I could make you smile! It’s a good feeling to write down our blessings! Happy Thanksgiving and thanks so much for visiting! I’ll visit you soon, too! 🙂
Makes me wish we celebrated thanksgiving here.
Awww, that would be fun, wouldn’t it??? Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Dianda! 🙂
Wonderful thanksgiving! We do have a lot to be thankful for each day. The moment we wake up is a sign of new life and that’s more than enough of grace we receive. 😀
Thank you and I agree! Waking up each day is a gift in itself! Thank you for visiting!
beautiful!
i can’t even think about when my parents won’t be around anymore… 😦
Thanks very much, Nanda…That is difficult to process and with my parents still living into their early nineties, morality is soon to set in..I don’t live close to them, therefore, I don’t see them as often as I’d like to…and my Mom has not been feeling well, so I’m concerned. We’re keeping them both in our prayers until we see them for Christmas…sorry, long note! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🙂
yeah, life is crazy and sometimes we cannot be with people that we love. i know what you mean. i hope you mom feel better and that your family have a wonderful xmas together! 🙂 happy thanksgiving!
