Sally’s Christmas Book Fair you don’t want to miss!

Dear Family and Friends,

I am thrilled that my book, Ever So Gently, has been embraced by Sally for her wonderful Christmas Book Fair! And to be in the company of amazing friends and authors such as Annette Rochelle Aben and Colleen M. Chesebro is truly an honor. Congratulations to them and to all the authors Sally has graciously supported in this warm community. Shifting of Seasons

I’ll be off grid next week, adventuring with hubby and backpack in the wilderness. So, have a great week ahead and I leave you with this bright beauty and the moods of seasons…

Autumn admired the brilliant blue sky
Winter wiggled out of my sneakers
Spring tapped me on the shoulder
Summer’s hello, sweet as apple pie!

Winter’s Gift

fireplace-edited

The colors mesmerize
They dance across your face

Flames conduct a jazz recital
My heartbeat meets their pace

Your eyes gaze at me
With a hunger that feeds
You touch with your thoughts
Fulfilling all needs

Wrap me in your warmth
With soul, body, and mind
Touch my lips so gently
To taste the sweet, sweet wine

A Cup of Spring

mom's tea cup

Miss Spring sips her tea
as we anticipate her arrival.
She says, “Be patient, for
soon I will bring you
colors so pleasing and
new life, delightful.
But first, Mr. Winter must
finish acting out his scene.

Bluffing

spring came fleetingly
teasing with its friendliness
winter claims its post

hoping the new storm tonight won’t
be as bad.)

Bidding Farewell

Golden leaves (2)

To welcome winter’s stunning coat,
Autumn sheds its golden layers
Gorgeous hues evoke emotions
Enticing with their pleasing flavors

Last Chance

Rose 2014

It’s almost time to
let sun take its curtain call
one last chance to shine

(I’m a little premature, as the sun will shine
for awhile longer before rain will begin,
but the garden is changing

and soon, seasons will, too.)  🙂
