Feel like Dancing!

Dear Friends,

Since it’s Friday, I thought this song would be good to share. It’s one of my all-time favorites. And I wish I felt like dancing, but the truth is…my body and head haven’t been feeling the best lately. My energy has been low and my brain has been foggy. Anything that requires full concentration hasn’t been at the top of my list like working on my children’s book with my nephew, reading, writing book reviews that are long overdue, writing anything, and reading blogs. So, I am very sorry for missing your wonderful blog posts, but I just haven’t been myself. It’s all I can do to write this to update you. And it’s not for sympathy. I just want you to know why I haven’t been around that much. I hope that my energy will return a little more over the weekend because there is so much I want to do! Sigh. Anyway, I leave you with this song, so Dance and enjoy today and your weekend to come. I’m turning off comments, but just know I appreciate you! ❤️

Kym shares her elegant review of Ever So Gently!

Dear Friends,

I normally don’t post back-to-back, but since I was on holiday break and upon my return, I have been unexpectedly surprised with more praise for my book, Ever So Gently. I apologize if these posts are getting a bit old, but how can I not share? From Brian’s fabulous post to Kym’s, along with 4 amazing reviews from Kimber, Darlene, Gwendolyn, and Yvette. You can find reviews on Amazon and Goodreads.

Okay, now it’s time for some happy dancing on Cloud 9! Join me if you’d like! 💃😍🎶

Lauren’s latest book of poetry is an intimate tapestry of love, wonder, gratitude, and an impeccable scale of observation stroking the tender senses of family, the sherbet-colored skies and sounds of nature, the celebration of life and unconditional love, along with a sense of being. Lauren’s poignant reflections make us wonder about the larger picture of life, connecting to us intimately and passionately.

Please click on the link below to read the rest of Kym’s lovely review. And if you’d like to order a copy of Ever So Gently, just click on my book image at the bottom of this post.

Thanks again, Kym! You gave me more reason to dance! Big hugs to you! 🎊🎉❤️

And another thanks to you all who have read my book and written amazing reviews! I am beyond grateful! ❤️🙏

As always, I appreciate your visits! ❤️

Belonging

Do you trust me? Will you
take my hand and let me
lead the way to a place
transcending the boundaries
of our reality? Let us get
lost in the tranquility –
dancing to the majesty of
the surroundings, feeling the
rhythm vibrate through our
bones. For as long as our
hearts desire, this is our
destination. For time is
but a memory. Its existence
leaves no trace on the path
where we tread. There is
only you, me, and the
intensity of our belonging
to each other.

Dear Dad,

family

daughters

Your beloved wife has been with the angels
Your time has now come, our hearts ever faithful

For you wear your wings now, as you soar beside Mom
Two more angels in Heaven, as we play your song

Swaying to the oldies, you both loved to dance
The timing is now for your second chance

(Today is the two-month anniversary of my Dad’s death. The
grieving process shifts from one stage to another. It’s still with us –
we miss our parents, but knowing they’re together again grants us
comfort and peace. These are just two photos of many more that
will be cherished forever.) 💕

Melodious Compromise

Will you take my hand
let me linger in your eyes
while the music guides
as we glide across the sky?

Will you hold me close
so I’ll hear your heart beat
as we waltz beside the moon
with our bodies in sync?

Will you kiss me like no other
lowering my defenses

as we slow dance above the clouds
stirring up my senses?

And when the music ends
we’ll still dance, you’ll see
I’ll then do the giving
Let me make your heart sing

Dizzy in my head

I was cleaning up the dishes from dinner,
listening to a cd our son had made for us
and this song started playing.
My hubby came in,
took my hand
and we danced in the kitchen.

I know this sounds corny
and we sound old,
but we’re really not that old!
We both love to dance;
we used to go dancing all the time,

bk (before kids). Needless to say,
it’s been awhile,

so this was just a nice moment.

“You make me smile like the sun, fall outta bed
Sing like a bird,
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record,
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like fool,
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold,
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile”

I hope you enjoyed this song, too,
and I hope you get the chance to dance real soon. ♥

Moonlight Waltz – Tanka

Will you dance with me –

glide across the silver moon,

tiptoe on soft clouds,

hum with melodies from our

smitten synchronized heartbeats?
