I was cleaning up the dishes from dinner,
listening to a cd our son had made for us
and this song started playing.
My hubby came in, took my hand
and we danced in the kitchen.
I know this sounds corny
and we sound old, but we’re really not that old!
We both love to dance;
we used to go dancing all the time,
bk (before kids). Needless to say,
it’s been awhile,
so this was just a nice moment. ♥
“You make me smile like the sun, fall outta bed
Sing like a bird,
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record,
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like fool,
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold,
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile”
I hope you enjoyed this song, too,
and I hope you get the chance to dance real soon. ♥
corny!!
no way it sounds so superbly sweet and romantic
Dance doesn’t discriminate, we dance too and it brings us closer 🙂
hugs and love and dance fairies to inspire you 🙂
Aww…thanks, Soma, it was a nice moment and I’m so happy to hear that you two dance, too! May you both continue to dance and sending many hugs! xoxo
Lisa and I love dancing too – all the oldie stuff: cha-cha, R&R, waltz and 1970s disco 🙂
I can still pull off a few mean steps 🙂
I’m glad to hear that you and Lisa dance, too, Eric! We’re never too old, right? You made me smile, keep dancing, my friend! Thanks for stopping by, as always! 🙂
The thought of you guys dancing in the kitchen and then listening to the song itself did, indeed make me smile, Lauren. Have a wonderful weekend (your hardly old!) xx
Thanks, Penny, we just never know how our special moments will be perceived, but I’m glad this one made you smile! Oh, and thanks for the age compliment! Now, I’m smiling! 🙂 xxx
Wow, haven’t heard him in awhile and whatever the reason was sound like amazing time for you two! Thank for sharing! God Bless:)
I’m glad you were able to hear him again, PJ! I love this song and hadn’t listened to this cd in awhile. Our son has made us many and they have such great songs on them. Love and hugs to you!
This is such a great song, I was only listening to it the other day. And dancing is certainly not corny, you are both just very lucky you have that relationship! xxx
What a coincidence you just listenedd to this, too, Bianca, and thanks so much for your kind comment…many hugs!
So sweet
Thanks so much! 🙂
Heck no that isn’t corny. That’s love!
Aww…thanks so much, Val! 🙂
Lovely Lauren! All of it. And dancing in the kitchen sounds like the perfect place to me. 🙂

How fun! Dancing around the house is the best dance floor in the world. Glad you and your hubby still do it. 🙂
It is, isn’t it, Peg? Thanks so much for your kind words, my friend! Many hugs!
One of those special timeless kodak moments and it brings a smile to my face today! Blessings and hugs Lauren for the beautiful light your heart always shares!
Thanks, Wendell, your comment was a beautiful start to my day. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday. Sending hugs and blessings.
Oh, what a delightful thing to read as my coffee wakes up my brain and my eyes begin to focus on the sun! Moments like this in a dance hall cannot bless us near as much as in the kitchen! How special this moment was! Thanks for sharing!
Aww…thanks so much, Martha, for your kind words and I’m glad this was a delightful read for you this morning. Many hugs and blessings!
ooo – love when that spontaneous love seeps into an otherwise ordinary day… sort of just “takes you away” – right?! Beautiful moment to share Lauren ~ loved it! 🙂 RL ~ ps: remember to find some honeysuckles today! lol~
Yes, these spontaneous moments do take us away, Robyn, and I’m glad it wasn’t corny, dancing in the kitchen. And even if it were, that still wouldn’t take away the romance in that special moment! 🙂 Oops, I knew I forgot something…honeysuckles…okay, that is on my to-do list, for sure! Have a wonderful week ahead! xx
it’s not corny, you are just never too old to dance you two. !!! Lovely song that is , thank you for sharing..
