Dizzy in my head

I was cleaning up the dishes from dinner,
listening to a cd our son had made for us
and this song started playing.
My hubby came in,
took my hand
and we danced in the kitchen.

I know this sounds corny
and we sound old,
but we’re really not that old!
We both love to dance;
we used to go dancing all the time,

bk (before kids). Needless to say,
it’s been awhile,

so this was just a nice moment.

“You make me smile like the sun, fall outta bed
Sing like a bird,
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record,
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like fool,
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold,
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile”

I hope you enjoyed this song, too,
and I hope you get the chance to dance real soon. ♥

  1. corny!!
no way it sounds so superbly sweet and romantic
Dance doesn’t discriminate, we dance too and it brings us closer 🙂
hugs and love and dance fairies to inspire you 🙂

  2. The thought of you guys dancing in the kitchen and then listening to the song itself did, indeed make me smile, Lauren. Have a wonderful weekend (your hardly old!) xx

    1. Thanks, Penny, we just never know how our special moments will be perceived, but I’m glad this one made you smile! Oh, and thanks for the age compliment! Now, I’m smiling! 🙂 xxx

    1. I’m glad you were able to hear him again, PJ! I love this song and hadn’t listened to this cd in awhile. Our son has made us many and they have such great songs on them. Love and hugs to you!

  3. This is such a great song, I was only listening to it the other day. And dancing is certainly not corny, you are both just very lucky you have that relationship! xxx

How fun! Dancing around the house is the best dance floor in the world. Glad you and your hubby still do it. 🙂

  5. Oh, what a delightful thing to read as my coffee wakes up my brain and my eyes begin to focus on the sun! Moments like this in a dance hall cannot bless us near as much as in the kitchen! How special this moment was! Thanks for sharing!

  6. ooo – love when that spontaneous love seeps into an otherwise ordinary day… sort of just “takes you away” – right?! Beautiful moment to share Lauren ~ loved it! 🙂 RL ~ ps: remember to find some honeysuckles today! lol~

    1. Yes, these spontaneous moments do take us away, Robyn, and I’m glad it wasn’t corny, dancing in the kitchen. And even if it were, that still wouldn’t take away the romance in that special moment! 🙂 Oops, I knew I forgot something…honeysuckles…okay, that is on my to-do list, for sure! Have a wonderful week ahead! xx
