If you haven’t read my poem, “The World is Broken,” you can read it here .

Now, the last thing I want to ask anyone to do is to create another account and password! I’m sure the mental cabinet you stash away your millions of accounts and passwords tilts as much as your TBR!!! But, it doesn’t hurt to ask, right?

So, would you be so kind as to vote for me before March 1st? I would greatly appreciate your support! But there is no pressure to create an account and I understand that dilemma. 🤗

Most importantly, Thank you for stopping by, for voting if you do, and for simply reading and considering!

Wishing you all a fabulous week ahead! ❤️❤️❤️

A, B, C, D, E, F, G ♫ ♫

It’s been awhile since I’ve followed through with awards, simply because of life and time limits, not because they weren’t greatly appreciated. So, I
recently received this ABC award (that I don’t remember receiving in the past) from a lovely lady and new friend,
Cha, at
http://www.dontchawannadream.wordpress.com

She is a wonderful artist that I’ve enjoyed getting to know just recently.
She also has a big heart and a constant “smile.” If you haven’t visited her blog, please do so, you won’t be disappointed! Merci beaucoup, Cha! xxx

Here are the rules for this fun award:

1) Thank and link back to who nominated you.
2) Say something about yourself with a word or a phrase beginning with each letter of the alphabet.
3) And of course nominate some other bloggers for the award!

So here goes…and I admit to cheating a bit…some have more than one word! 🙂

A Affectionate B Bride, 24 years ago C- Caring D– Dancing, love it E Emotional F – Friends, loved the sitcom G Gemstones H – Hugs & Hubby I Ice cream, Mint Chocolate Chip J– January (wedding anniversary) K– Kids (2) L– Lattes M– Music & Mountains N– Never Give Up! O– Ocean
P– Pets, dogs to be specific Q– Quarters (meter $) R–  Reading, Rainbows & Rivers S Singing T Tim McGraw U Understanding V– Vanilla W– Wine
X– X-rays (from the past, this was tough) Y– Yoda, George Lucas lives near us  Z– Zealous 🙂

Instead of choosing specific bloggers to pass this on to, I leave it up to you! If you’d like to play along and pass it on, then please feel free! This was really fun and even a little challenging! I hope you enjoyed and thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day or evening! Lauren ♥

The Sisterhood Award/The Addicted Blogger Award ♥

The Sisterhood Award

I received this award, from Francina, seasonspoetry.com, and
Renee, positiveboomer.netFrancina’s blog exudes elegance and adventure, through her beautiful photography and travel journals.  Whether she shares her emotions through her own writing or through writing of another poet, her blog is a “must!”  Renee’s blog offers a daily blast of healthy inspiration to go on your merry way.  She emphasizes that it is never too late to get in shape and lead a healthy life!  Pay them both a visit; you will not be disappointed.  They are both lovely ladies and I am so glad they are in my “Sister Circle!”  Thank you both very much! ♥

I hadn’t heard of this award before and am truly humbled to be part of the “Sisterhood!”  And truthfully, if there were a Brotherhood Award, it would be my pleasure to hand it to those male bloggers whom I also follow!

The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award.

One of the rules of the award is to tell people 7 things about yourself, hitherto not mentioned on your blog. I have shared some things about myself in previous awards, so I will try not to repeat myself or cause you to

Seven things about myself:
1. I am blessed to have met so many wonderful women through blogging.  I feel as though I’ve known you for years!
2. Although, I have many great memories from the past, I wouldn’t want to go back in time.  I’m comfortable and happy with my life right now.
3. It’s rewarding and fun having older kids (21 & 17), spending time with them as adults, but it’s still hard letting go.  I’m not very good at it, but I’m definitely working on it!
4. I love the country and mountains the most.
5. I may be going back to school (still considering).
6. In January, my hubby and I will celebrate 24 years of marriage.
7. I visit our local library often to check out more books to read; it’s almost as good as visiting Sees Candy!

Instead of following through with 7 (as the rules state) or even more nominations, I’m going to break the rules, hoping the blog award police don’t come after me.  Every woman who has visited and supported me in any way, please accept this Sisterhood Award.  You may have simply stopped by for a brief look, or liked, commented or followed.  It doesn’t matter…there are too many wonderful “sisters” to choose from and I can’t leave anyone out.  So, if you are inclined, take this lovely award and pass it on.  There is no pressure, of course, and if you choose not to accept, then I’m going to echo Francina’s words by saying “tuck it away somewhere as a token of my appreciation of your creativity.”

The Addictive Blog Award

The Addictive Blog Award was given to me also by Renee at: http://positiveboomer.wordpress.com.   Renee is a warm and kind soul who shares an abundance of healthy tips, not to be missed!  Please visit her and you will love her ongoing inspiration for a healthy life!  I’m very appreciative, Renee, thank you so much for thinking of me for this award.  Again, I hadn’t heard of this one and since my one year blogging anniversary is coming up, I suppose it is fitting!  Although, I’d like to replace “Addictive” with “Passionate!” 🙂

The rules for this Award are as follows:

1. Thank the person who nominated you and link them back.
    Thanks so much, Renee!

2. Share a little bit about why you started blogging.

I had always loved to write poetry, but the nudging from my son to start this blog is how it all began. Being a novice in this new land of blogging, I wasn’t sure what to expect or what I really wanted to get out of it.  I have been given so much more than I ever anticipated.  Meeting people all over the world is beyond amazing, reading other’s poems is not only enjoyable, but a big part of learning.  The friendships made are priceless, so there are many more facets to blogging than simply blogging in itself!  It has been a most rewarding journey and I thank you all!

3. Copy and Paste the award onto your own blog.

4. Nominate up to 10 other bloggers you think are addictive enough to deserve the award.

It is so hard to choose and leave others out, so please check out my blogroll for some of my favorites.  Again, I’m breaking the rules!  However, just so you know my blogroll is an infinite list and needs updating!  All of you are absolutely wonderful!

Another big Thank You! ♥

Lauren

Tardy March Awards for 2012 :)

This post is my way of acknowledging my wonderful blogging friends for nominating me for these very special awards.  Due to time constraints, I am unable to follow through traditionally, but I’m going to echo Deb, http://adamsart.wordpress.com, with her idea of nominating everyone on my blogroll.  The problem is there are so many of you who have supported me and who aren’t on my blogroll.  It is not updated as often as it should be, so, if you have not received any of these awards, then take them, I’m nominating you and pass them on as you wish. ♥

Everyone is deserving; we all work hard to put our thoughts of life, love, faith and sadness on paper.  Our readers “feel” when they read our words or view our art, bringing out new and old emotions and memories.  How lucky, fortunate and honored we are to have such an awesome and huge support system for our creativity.  So, now that you’ve sat down by now (hopefully), enough of my chatting and on to the “thank you’s!”

A very heartfelt Thank you to Francina at seasonspoetry.com, who was very kind to nominate me for this ‘beautiful” award. 3.  I have a beautiful daughter, who will turn 21 this year and a handsome son, who will turn 17 next month.  I am extremely proud of both of them.

Lucky 7 MEME Challenge

I was tagged by the lovely Maryanne Pale at maryannepale.com in this fun writing challenge.  Thank you so much, Maryanne, for thinking of me, but, unfortuantely, I won’t be able to take this challenge at this time.  Maybe in the future, so I do hope you understand~If you haven’t visited Maryanne, please do so, as she is a wonderful inspiration through her poetry and her beautiful soul.

This concludes my tardy March awards, and again, if you know me, are on my blogroll, or simply haven’t received any of these awards, feel free to be the recipient.  It’s not about the receiving (although, grateful, we are), it’s about the paying forward, and this is my way of doing just that.  I hope you all understand.

Thanks for all of your continued comments, likes and encouragment.  I am truly grateful~

Hugs,

Lauren

Commenter Award :)

I was recently award Commenter Award!  by Deb at http://adamsart.wordpress.com.  Thanks so much, Deb! The Commenter’s Award is a little different from the most awards. Instead of awarding others for their own blogs, you will be giving recognition to those who comment on your own blog regularly, take the time to really read your posts, and provide you with feedback via their comments. The nominations are the easiest part. You should nominate the six bloggers who comment most frequently on your blog. How do you know who does this most often? Good question!

You will find your Top Recent Commenters on your site stats page on the bottom, right corner. If you do not see this, click on the Screen Options in the top, right corner and be sure that “Comments” is checked. If you are good about responding to every comment, then you will be the first one in the list. It is the next six commenters on the list that you will nominate and pass this award to. But wait! You may nominate one more person. This person can either be a brand new commenter on your blog, the very last comment you have received (most recent), or the one who has posted your most favorite comments. This seventh nomination is your choice, but please do tell us why you have chosen them as your seventh.

Here are my top “commenters” and I am truly grateful for their continuing support!

My new blogging friend – https://mysweatyshirt.wordpress.com

Gabby – http://autumnsunshineandgabrielleangel.wordpress.com

Lane – http://willofheart.wordpress.com

Celeste – http://celestealluvial.wordpress.com

Cynthia – http://songsofseasons.wordpress.com

Deb – http://adamsart.wordpress.com

I can’t just choose one person for my seventh nomination, so I’m choosing everyone on my blog roll and since it’s not currently updated, everyone else who has visited and supported me by providing your feedback.  You all deserve it and as we all know, everyone has different times of the day, week or month, where blogging is permitted, in which we have time to “like” or “comment.”

And if you are new to commenting here…this award is for you too! :-)

Lauren ♥

Hope Unites Globally (HUG) Award (2nd Nomination)

    Hope Unites Globally (HUG) Award

The HUG Award was given to me a second time by Deb at adamsart.wordpress.com. Thank you so much Deb!  You are a wonderful artist/painter and I love all of your work!  You are inspiring, giving, loving and a beautiful soul.  I am truly honored and humbled you thought of me for this award a second time.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with this award, below is some information from the HUG Award web site:

The HUG Award© was initiated by Connie Wayne at A Hope for Today at http://ahopefortoday.com, which promotes hope, love, peace, equality, and unity for all people.

The HUG Award© is for people with an expectant desire for the world, for which they: Hope for Love; Hope for Freedom; Hope for Peace; Hope for Equality; Hope for Unity; Hope for Joy and Happiness; Hope for Compassion and Mercy; Hope for Faith; Hope for Wholeness and Wellness; Hope for Prosperity; Hope for Ecological Preservation; Hope for Oneness

“People do not have to give up or compromise their own religious, spiritual, or political beliefs to qualify for the Hope Unites Globally HUG Award©. They qualify for the HUG Award© when, without bias or prejudice, they use their resources and gifts to make the world a better place for everyone.”

For more information on this award, please visit: http://ahopefortoday.com/2012/01/14/hope-unites-globally-hug-award-guidelines/

I became teary-eyed the first time I received this award, which isn’t difficult once you realize all it stands for…through my writing, my intent is to inspire, spread smiles, hope and love. Now, I’m even more humbled to accept this award a second time and will happily pass it on to spread the word about Hope for Our World. I’d also like to thank these people for helping to make the world a better place:

David – http://francisbarkerart.com

Deb – http://365daysofcourage.wordpress.com

The 1-in-100 WARRIOR AWARD

Warrior Woman

I am warrior, hear me roar!

Well, actually, Miro of Warrior Poet Wisdom roared and Christy answered the call. The nomination call that is. Then Christy, poeticparfait.com, nominated me and I answered! Thank you, Christy!

This is another very special award when you read thoroughly what it stands for, thus, I am extremely humbled and grateful that Christy chose me!   She is an inspiration to me with her writing ability, her poetic thoughts and her genuine soul (not to mention, her love for chocolate is a benefit)~  Thank you so much, Christy, for this much appreciated nomination!  I am privileged to have met you and I look forward to being inspired even more from your wonderful talent.  Please visit her, if you haven’t already, and your day will be complete~

When I first read Miro’s thoughtful reflection about what this award means, then found out that Christy nominated me, I was all the more humbled, as I have admired Miro’s poetry for awhile now and am inspired by the life lessons he shares with readers. He reminds us to be both sincere and strong at the same time. Please visit his blog, if you are not already acquainted with his work.

The 1-in-100 Warrior Award
Warrior Status.

Thank you, my friend.

The guidelines upon receipt of said award are:

Guidelines for the 1-in-100 Warrior Award: Warriors are not motivated by awards or fame. They see awards not as an opportunity for the ego to rejoice, but rather an opportunity to honor other warrior brothers and sisters. To acknowledge and honor the rarity of the warrior, it is recommended that the recipient passes this award on to only *one* other blogger that they feel goes above and beyond to serve and inspire others, and who maintains their grace and positivity even in the face of difficult challenges, such as health issues, tragedy, injustice or loss.

I pondered this award and thought of PJ~

I present the Award to PJ at poeticjourney251.com. She is genuine, kind, and faithful in both her poems and her comments to her readers. She continues to lift our spirits and inspire us with her “Thought of the Day,” “Thought of the Night” and “Word to the Wise.” PJ has faced some difficult times personally and has turned her circumstances into beautiful poems and inspiring posts for her readers.  When I visit her, she radiates love, optimism, perseverance and her extremely strong faith in God.   I, personally, am inspired and in awe of her strength.  It is for these reasons, that I nominate PJ for the 1-in-100 Warrior Award.

I hand her this admirable award with a smile and a hug~

Before I close, I thank you all for your continuing support, likes, comments, and love and I wish you a wonderful week!

Lauren 🙂
