We sit on the shore
feeling inconsequential
in its vast presence,
watching it sparkle
like a rare jewel
that has just been discovered
The dragonflies attend
in their tiny-jet manner
The damselflies gracefully flit about
with their delicate bodies,
and blue, iridescent wings
Then we close our eyes
as tiny threads of peace
weave into our whole beings,
allowing worries to fall
like the cleansing of raindrops
How fortunate are we
to play a part with nature
in this moment of our existence –
for this point of time will soon transform
into a most profound memory

Thanks so much, my friend. And yes, what a great memory and a favorite spot of ours, too. Hugs back and Happy Monday! 😊💗🌷
It’s nice to have a favorite spot. 🙂 Ours has always been the Long Beach area (Washington). Actually anywhere at the ocean. Everywhere it’s so crowded now, unfortunately.
Hope you’re having a good day! ❤️🌻💕
It hasn’t been the best day, but not the worst either. Moving on. 🙂 Hope yours has been better! 🙂 xo
Sorry to hear it hasn’t been a great day. Hope you have a nice, relaxing evening to make up for it. 💕🎶
Thanks, Betty! 💕😊
And you’re right, it seems most places are getting more crowded, which takes the fun out it. We have a beach weekend planned for October and can’t wait. The mountains and the ocean provide wonderful places for relaxation. ❤❤❤😊
Glad you have the beach to look forward to in October! We’re going in September if all goes well.
Hugs! 💞💞
I’m glad you have that to look forward to also… Hugs back! 💜💙🧡😍

I felt that tiny thread of peace, What a rare jewel indeed.. Beautiful poem and wonderful scene.. Mother Earth is certainly beautiful beyond compare when we seek out to find her shining jewels ❤
I’m glad you felt it, Sue, and thanks for your lovely words. Mother Earth is so beautiful if we only take time to truly ‘see’ her and experience all that She offers. Big hugs, my friend!

So serene and beautiful, Lauren! You´ve captured that moment in time so wonderfully! Normally you don´t get to see many dragonflies around here but I was luck last Friday and watched them flitting across the sky whilst lying on a wonderfully lush meadow in a nearby park. Have a happy Sunday, my friend! xoxo ❤
Your time in the meadow sounds serene, too, Sarah. It’s special moments like these that remain in our minds forever. Thanks for your lovely words, as always, and wishing you a Happy Sunday, too! ❤🌼🐛🦗🦋
