The world is broken,
we are aware,
but being alive on this crisp autumn morning,
what a blessing
to behold
and he says,
“The good news
for today is
I love you,
Your heart,
Your mind,
Your soul.”
The world may be broken,
but I am not.

Beautiful Lauren…. To have and hold such love, the world can only heal and mend. ❤
Thanks so much, Sue, and I hope you’re right about the world. I’m grateful for a love so solid. Hugs ❤️❤️
Once we ALL learn such love Lauren, the world would be a different place… However many are still on their own wheel of learning, but so long as we are on our own evolutionary path of discovering this for ourselves, and by living by example, do we help others AND the world in finding and healing its heart. ❤
Exactly, Sue. ❤️❤️❤️🤗
❤
I like your matured ideas
Thank you.
I love this, Lauren. Even if broken, one can always find beauty in the world.
That’s exactly the message I intended in this poem, Janis, so I’m glad you saw the deeper meaning. Of course, the love is important, though. Thanks for your lovely words.

Haha, I’m sure that’s not true, but after almost 34 years, I’ll say that he is a keeper. 🙂 Thanks so much for your beautiful comment, Diana. I always appreciate your lovely words of support. Hugs 💞
My pleasure. Romance doesn’t seem to come naturally to a lot of guys (or at least to my wonderful-in-every-other-way guy), so enjoy every moment. 😀
❤️🤗
I love your content sooo much. The world may be broken 💔, but I’m not 🥺❤️❤️💯
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words and visit! 😊
What a touching poem, a good reminder to love and find beauty in the smallest of things. Things may not be right with the world but we’ve got love to cherish – we’ve got each other. That is a great last line, ‘I am not’ – so strong and empathically standing up against everything out there 😊
Thanks for your wonderful comment, Mabel. This poem happened in minutes after my husband said those words. But then I thought of everything going on in the world and here it is. 🙂 I’m so happy you liked it and grasped the deeper meaning. Thanks for stopping by. ❤️
Lovely to hear that the poem was inspired by real life and someone dear to you. Great writing. Always a pleasure to stop by. Take care ❤️
Thanks, Mabel. You, too. ❤️
This poem lifted me up and made my day!!! I love it. Thank you.

Broken hearts always find the right path to go ahead. Might it be painful for time but wonderful for the next step.
