The World is Broken

The world is broken,

            we are aware,

but being alive on this crisp autumn morning,

what a blessing

                        to behold

and he says,

“The good news

for today is

I love you,

Your heart,

Your mind,

Your soul.”

The world may be broken,

                                    but I am not.

      1. Once we ALL learn such love Lauren, the world would be a different place… However many are still on their own wheel of learning, but so long as we are on our own evolutionary path of discovering this for ourselves, and by living by example, do we help others AND the world in finding and healing its heart. ❤

  1. What a touching poem, a good reminder to love and find beauty in the smallest of things. Things may not be right with the world but we’ve got love to cherish – we’ve got each other. That is a great last line, ‘I am not’ – so strong and empathically standing up against everything out there 😊

    1. Thanks for your wonderful comment, Mabel. This poem happened in minutes after my husband said those words. But then I thought of everything going on in the world and here it is. 🙂 I’m so happy you liked it and grasped the deeper meaning. Thanks for stopping by. ❤️
