The circle stretches miles long
Hands held, leaving no room
Baring the strength of steel
Some things cannot be forced
Tiny nuances glow in time
The truth, clear as pure water
Emotions flood out
Frenzied with freedom
The agony is extreme
Floating…down, down
Falling reckless
Into arms open wide
To guide and to calm
Into moving forward –
The circle remains as is

The circle of life?
Interpretation is the beauty of reading poetry. π Thanks for stopping by, Binky.
Hi Lauren, A beautiful poem. Immediately, the word βcircleβ indicates strength. And, yet, βInto arms open wideβ indicates the strength of love. I love the perfect title and all it says. β€οΈ

Nice blogπ
Thank you so much!
That’s lovely! π
Thanks so much, Ian!
This is beautiful, Lauren. It reminds me of a healing circle and the idea of holding each other in unconditional love. Freedom and fear and a safe place to let go. The arms of a healing community are so powerful. Loved this. β€
Thanks for your beautiful comment, Diana. You said it perfectly. I love “the arms of a healing community” especially comforting in these surreal times. Driving through our little town, we see iconic small businesses that have closed for good and it’s so sad. The world is different and when Covid passes, it will be new all over. Have a good weekend and stay well, my friend. π
It’s so sad that some businesses haven’t survived this. I hope some return, but you’re right, things will look different on the other side of this. I hope we will find the heart and will to create something better for everyone. β€
I echo your wishes. π
Beautiful! I love this. π€π
