Beauty along the way…

As Copper and I enjoyed our morning walk this morning,

Copper smelling the flowers by Steph

I couldn’t help notice the vibrant blooms along the way. Whether they blossom in our garden or in the neighborhood, they have served as an exceptional balm during this time of sheltering in place. Copper even knows when it’s time to slow down
and smell the flowers…

A Cup of Spring

Miss Spring sips her tea
as we anticipate
her arrival.

She says, β€œBe patient,
I will soon bring you
colors so pleasing

and new life, delightful.
But first, Mr. Winter
must finish acting
out his scene.”

Yours truly

I believe Miss Spring kept her promise and I hope these gorgeous blooms were as soothing to you as they were to me.

    • Thanks, Alison. I know you’re enthralled with this year’s blooms just as much as I am. They exude hope and that’s what we need right now. πŸ™‚ I’m glad you enjoyed the poem, too. πŸ’•

    • Thanks so much, Miriam. I’m glad you loved this assortment of blossoms and my poem. I love quotes, too, so I thought it’d be fun to include some as well. 🌷

    • Thanks, Bette! I’m glad you enjoyed this uplifting post. I had hoped it would bring a smile and soothe, especially in these uncertain times. Stay safe. πŸ’—

    • Thanks, Audrey. Getting a glimpse of these blooms is one of the many benefits to our walk. πŸ™‚ That bougainvillea just amazes me. We have one at home, but it’s just a baby. We’ll see how it flourishes. And that rose resting on the stone fence is poetic. Stay well. πŸ’

  1. Nice that you have so many flowers in bloom there. Here, just a few are out as it’s been unseasonably cold. We might even get snow tomorrow!

    • Thanks, Binky, and I can’t imagine snow. Today it’s around 90! But we may get lucky to have a little rain early next week. CA needs it badly. Have a good weekend!

  2. Wow! I needed this – your flowers, the quotes, your prose. John Lennon’s particularly hit me. Love starts as a seed and can bloom into an everlasting garden.

    Your photos are exquisite. xo

    • Hi Pam, it’s great to see you back and I’m glad you enjoyed this post with all the inspiration. I thought many of us could use some uplifting content. And Copper and I had fun on the walk taking photos along the way. πŸ™‚ I hope you have a good weekend even with all that’s going on. Just know you’re in my thoughts. Hugs. 🌷

  3. A very welcome and enjoyable post in these trying times Lauren, love the great pictures and the sayings beneath, a refreshing visit.
Kind regards and best wishes my friend.

    • Thanks so much, Ian. I’m glad you enjoyed the blooms and quotes and hope they afforded you some peace and comfort. I appreciate your very kind comment. Take care and stay safe…

    • Thanks so much, Resa! I’m glad you enjoyed and have tulips at least. πŸ™‚ Ironically, our weather has turned gray, too, with a little rain, which we do need. xo

  4. Such a lovely post, Lauren. I loved that you paired the quotes and flowers. Copper is a great companion to share your walk and enjoy the flowers. What more could you ask for! πŸ’•πŸ’•

Your thoughts are welcome!
