I’ve posted about the Golden Gate Bridge before,
but I felt like a second time would be okay.
San Francisco is practically in our back yard
and regardless of how many times I’ve crossed this bridge,
I’m always in awe of it’s glory!
I hope you enjoy again, if you’ve already seen my post from last July. 🙂
Burnt orange marvel
stretches to the sky
with arms of strength
Standing proud,
as tourists bike
and walk by its side
Boats glide below,
a rainbow of sails
parade on the bay
Ocean glistens
in all its glory
fog stays away
An awesome sight
to appreciate,
Our Glorious Golden Gate

Have a Thrilling Thursday! ♥
It certainly is an elegant design, and quite an engineering feat for its day.
It definitely is, Binky! We’ve walked across it several times and it’s simply amazing! Thanks for stopping by! I had my comments disabled earlier, turned them back on and they still weren’t working. Now they are! 🙂
Yes, I noticed the comment problem. I was going to mention it to you, but then forgot.
Walking across the Golden Gate would be fun.
Thanks anyway, Binky! All is well now in WordPress! 🙂 I hope you get the chance to walk across this bridge someday, too! Have a good weekend!
For me, the most famous landmark of San Francisco
Good to hear, Eric, and I’m glad I chose the right landmark! 🙂
nice sense of poetry deary…poetry gives life to non-living things 🙂
Thanks so much, Berylbee! And you are so right! Glad you enjoyed and I appreciate your visit! 🙂
I’ve had two opportunities to be in San Fransisco, and both times I traveled the bridge several times. It’s also a beautiful city. I also enjoyed the Warf.
That’s great to hear, Deb, and the Warf is always fun, along with Pier 39. Those are our favorites when we visit the city. Have a great Friday and weekend, too! Hugs! xoxo
Correct me if I’m wrong since I’m trying to remember back to 1983, but I think Pier 39 is where I got a great bowl of clam chowder.
Hugs xxx
You’re right, Deb! You can find the best there and that’s usually what I get when we go…and then there are also the bread bowls, oh, too, too good! 🙂 Hugs back! xoxo
Much love and hugs xxx
And the same to you, my friend! ♥
Lovely poem Lauren! Id love to see this bridge! Two of our children have been so that’s the nearest I will get to it! 😊❤ xx
Thanks so much, Chris! I’m glad two of your children have seen it, at least, and someday, I’d love to visit your neck of the woods, too! The bucket list is growing! 🙂 ♥ xo
And if you do we must meet up!! 😊❤ xx
For sure! 🙂 ♥ xo

You capture the essence of the bridge well, Lauren! I have been there and it was fascinating 🙂
Thanks so much, Christy, and I’m glad you’ve had the Golden Gate experience! 🙂
I did see the Golden Gate Bridge when my family took a trip out to California when I was 16. Your poem captures its splendor and surroundings perfectly! XO ♥
