It’s here – My First Poetry Book has been launched!

After years of talk and a few months of action, the final product is here. I have all of my family to thank for their ongoing support and encouragement and, of course, all of you, for your “likes” and “comments” that gave me the courage to take this step. Without you, this wouldn’t be a reality!

I want to specifically thank my husband, Matt, for being the source of inspiration for many of the poems, my daughter, Stephanie, for her expertise editing, and my son, Michael, for his beautiful cover photo and for taking my “signature” author’s photo, as well.

My first collection of poetry, “New Day, New Dreams” is now available to order from my publisherXlibris, as well as, Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

NEW DAY, NEW DREAMS BOOK COVER

A big “thanks again” to all of you
and if you choose to purchase my book,
I hope you enjoy reading it.

With Love and Hugs, Lauren

  1. Fantastic! Congratulation, Lauren! I’m so proud of you, and very excited about this for you too!
How wonderful that your husband and children are all a part of this too!
Sending much love and hugs xoxo

  2. Lauren, wow! Brilliant, and love the name and the cover of your poetry book.. I am so pleased that this is now a fact… And its wonderful that your family have all been so closely involved in its creation…
I wish you every success … Love and Light Sue xox

    1. Thank you, Sue, and I’m so glad you like the cover and title. It’s an uplifting collection and it was hard choosing a photo from my son’s website. I love the “refreshing” feeling and sounds of a waterfall. Water brings new life…and yes, it’s great to have my family behind me, even the kids. When they tell me that they’re proud of me, it’s a definite example of the tables being turned. 🙂 I appreciate your wishes and love, also…xoxo

      1. You must be the current star and inspiration of the poetry blogging community. What a great place to be!

What inspired you to bring your work together and how did you choose what to include?

      2. Oh, I’m definitely not the star, Pooky, several of my friends have published this year, which has been inspiring in itself. I’ve always wanted to take this leap; just wasn’t willing to jump, yet! Over time and receiving support and encouragement from my family and friends, I’ve felt more comfortable and ready. My parents love my writing and my only regret is not doing this before Mom passed away over a year ago. So, I wanted to make it happen while Dad was still around. He is very proud of his “baby” daughter. 🙂 Choosing the content took time and with the help of my family, I compiled a list and was ready to move forward. My friend calls it “giddy” and I think that’s a great word to describe seeing “your” writing in print. Thanks so much for all your kind words in the short time we’ve known each other. Have a lovely weekend. xx

  3. Bravo!! Bravo!! No small accomplishment Lauren. Incredibly demanding of you and those who are close to you. Others may dream of producing a book but you actually took your dream and made it a reality. Congratulations. Big hug and much love Virginia

    1. Thanks very much, for all of your kind words and enthusiasm, Virginia! I’ve been talking about it for a long time, but the timing wasn’t right, nor was my confidence ready. 🙂 I appreciate your love and hugs, too! xoxo

Just know Steph, Michael and I are so proud of you…..heck, I even feel very honored to be part of your inspiration.   Loving You Always, Matthew

Happy for you. I know the feeling – enjoy.

Lovely to see how the family ring fenced and helped you get published.

    1. Thanks so much, Eric, and yes, it was nice to have my family behind me, cheering, helping and supporting. I’m glad you like the cover, too. It was tough choosing from my son’s photos, but this one jumped out. 🙂 Have a wonderful Sunday.

It’s really inspiring when a dreamer who dreams the same dream as yours finally achieves that dream. The impossible becomes a little more possible. 🙂 Congratulations 🙂

    1. It definitely is and I’ve been inspired by many who achieved this dream earlier this year, which is what nudged me to make it happen. Thanks so much for your lovely comment and visit and I hope your dream becomes reality very soon, too. Lauren 🙂
