To begin with, I would like to thank
http://caddoveil.wordpress.com/, http://autumnsunshineandgabrielleangel.wordpress.com/ and
http://versenotprose.wordpress.com/
for nominating me!
Being nominated once is humbling enough,
but three times is beyond comprehension!
All I can say is I am truly thankful and grateful for this recognition and
for these three wonderful blogs I’ve had the privilege of reading
and the awesome bloggers I’ve had the privilege of getting to know!
Thank you, again!
The award requires me to a) tell you ten things you may not know about me and
to b) nominate six or more other bloggers.
Here we go…
1) I am finally able to pet other dogs without breaking down (our dog died last month).
2) I drive a gold Honda CRV and I love it!
3) I love the mountains and hope to live there someday.
4) Although, I’m also a country girl, so living on a ranch with many, many, many dogs and animals, is a dream.
5) I used to love watching Home Improvement with Tim Allen and was sorry it ended.
6) I never colored my hair until this year, after turning 50, but it’s highlighted and looks natural, which is what I wanted.
7) I am very emotional (tears of joy, sadness, anger, etc)…I have more water than the water company! 🙂
8) I didn’t finish college. 😦
9)Â I share the same dream with many of you, to publish a book of poetry.
10)Â When I was younger, singing was my passion.
And now here are my nominees, in no specific order:

http://granbee.wordpress.com/about/
http://chicpress.wordpress.com/
http://thenaughtypoet.wordpress.com/
http://rajkishoremaity.wordpress.com/
This list is truly infinite, however, I do encourage you to visit these blogs…you’ll find lovely words, beautiful images, inspiration and a melody of emotions.Â
Congratulations to all the nominees and Merry Christmas!
Congratulations my friend. You deserve it.
Thanks so much, Maiya, you’re such a sweetheart and I appreciate your kind words!
You so deserve this Lauren! You are touching so many of us with your writing, you are very gifted. 🙂
Thanks, Gabby, I’m at a loss for words (not good for a writer)! Your words are so very encouraging and really mean a lot to me and I can also say the same to you and Autumn! xx
Oh how lovely and fun (are you tired of me using that word repeatedly?). I am sorry you lost your dog–I’ve never felt that kind of kinship, so can only offer condolences and not pretend to understand.
I, too, was a Home Improvement fan! My fave Christmas movie is “Christmas With the Kranks”–because of Tim Allen & Jamie Lee Curtis, as well as the terrific story & great comedy. If you haven’t seen it, DO!
And I didn’t graduate college either, though people always assume I’ve multiple degrees–go figure.
I’m so curious about that Pixie Dust Poet Award–and another I saw recently, something about “Friends in the Kingdom”… There are a lot of them, but I seriously don’t need anymore nominations for awhile.
I’m blathering again–wore myself out today with baking, and working on edits of my latest “Flavia” episode… Just wanted to check in and say “hi”–God bless you!
Caddo, I will never tire of your comments! Thanks so much for your kind words about our dog. She was part of the family for 9 years, we adopted her and it’s tough when they’re no longer with you. Anyway, we’re doing okay and will probably adopt another dog sometime next year…
I’m thrilled to meet someone else who loved Home Improvement. It was such a great family show and Tim Allen was hilarious, well, still is, I believe. Everyone on that show was good! As to the movie, we have it, come on over! 🙂 We’ve seen it a zillion times, but love it.
I received the Pixie Dust Poet Award from Kellie’s blog: http://magicinthebackyard.wordpress.com/. She liked one of my poems and wanted it for her Wish Jar…Her blog is magical and wonderful. I encourage you to visit her; I think you’ll love it, too!
I’m having trouble again with getting the award images on my sidebar. Patience, I tell myself! 🙂
Thanks for saying “hi!” I also know how you feel about baking. I’m exhausted after making millions of sugar cookies, some for our church shelter and others for family and friends. ‘Tis the season, though, and it is fun!
Blessings to you, too, and see you soon!
Congratulations, Lauren 🙂
Thanks so much, Martin! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas! 🙂
fairly deserved! congrats!
Thank you so much, elbrigaking! I really appreciate your kind words and support!
Congratulations! Your poetry is wonderful, and you are most deserving of this recognition –
Thank you! Your words are so kind and very encouraging! 🙂
Congratulations! Well deserved.
Peace & grace,
~Miro

Thanks so much, Russell! 🙂

Thank you so much! I always appreciate your wonderful support! 🙂
Congratulations to you, Lauren!!
Thank you very much, Betty! 🙂
Congratulations and very well deserved Lauren! Happy Holidays 🙂
Thanks so much, Jessie, you’re very kind and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, too!
What a delightful list of clever people! Thank you for sharing this 🙂
Yes, they are…you’re very welcome, VW! 🙂
Lauren, you are so richly deserving of multiple awards, many times over. Congratulations and God bless you richly as you continue to walk in His Light. I, too, lost a dearly beloved, very specially gifted Black Lab Retriever about 3 years ago; so, I do believe I know how you feel. Glad you are finally able to enjoy other dogs a little bit. You know, I keep running across GabrielleAngel and AutumnSunshine–I really must start following them next week. Caddo, I know and love every day.
Thank you so much, Rose, and I’m sorry to hear about your lab, also. They become very important family members, don’t they?? Yes, you will love the twins! They’re funny, inspiring, lovely women and I’m so happy to have “met” them, just as I am to have “met” you! I hope you also read that you are one of my nominees on this award! I couldn’t forget you! And yes, in only a short time I’ve known Caddo, she is so wonderful! It’s amazing how we make friends virtually! 🙂 Anyway, blessings to you during this holiday! xx
Congrats! This is very well deserved. And thank you for the nomination 🙂
Thanks, Francois, and you’re very welcome; also very well deserved! 🙂
