Chilling Embrace

I have been embraced
by the chilling presence
of loneliness.
I have wondered
where the niche
designed for me
exists in this world
in which my breaths
originate.
I have waited
for the glow
to emerge from
behind the shadows.

But when I take
that wise step
into the splendor
of nature,
listen to the trees
whisper their sagacity,
feel the flowing rivers
move my pain,
creating vast distance
between it and me,
I have been revived
by the compassion
that nature offers
so unselfishly.

“Life is not measured…”

We’re going on another wilderness adventure, so technology will stay at home, except for my cell phone for taking a million photos. πŸ™‚ I’m leaving you with one of my favorite Maya Angelou quotes, and this photo was taken at Crater Lake in Oregon.

Wishing you all a fabulous week and I’ll see you when I return. I’ll also add a Big Thank You for all your visits and support!

Stay safe and Be happy,
Lauren Scott

Glue

I see your broken pieces
I almost step on their sharpness
I want to be their healing glue

I know you’re weary
I understand every part of you
I want to be your shoulder

I know your heart aches
trying to make sense of it all
but I won’t let you fall
Let me be your remedy

Be My Guest

thank you in the sandDear Family and Friends,

Today’s post is primarily to thank you all for your support and encouragement throughout the years. I believe 2018 will mark my 7th year of blogging. Many of you have been with me since day one, so your endless support and friendship is invaluable to me. To those of you who are new to Baydreamer, I appreciate your interest and time taken to visit, as well, and hope you’ll find something special to draw you back now and then.Β

With this being said, I invite All of You to visit my Guestbook (see Guestbook tab). If you have the time, I’d love to hear from you, also. Even if you’ve visited before, β€œliked” or written me a note, now is as good as time as any to write again. Years have passed, bloggers and blogs have endured changes over time. So, you might have something new to say.Β

Anyway, Thanks Again, and I’m ending with some beautiful wisdom…

best things

Love, Lauren ❀❀❀

The Best Gift

children hugging

Do you live in color, shades of gray or black and white?
Do smiles grace your face as often as they should?
It’s a stretch to dodge the tears and let joy shine through
when times are tough and you’ve done all you could

There are no magic words to take away the sting
or miracle tunes to make you dance along the way
Just a hug and a shoulder and an ear to listen
all from my heart, I offer you this rich bouquet

Time to put my feet up

Hi All,

It’s that time again…time to put my feet up
or I should say “recess from social media.”
All is fine, but I need a breather from the computer.
I’ve taken a few in the past and I know most of us come
to the same conclusion at some time in our “blogging careers.” πŸ™‚

I’m not sure how long, but it could last through the holidays
where I’d return in January 2015. So if that happens,
I send wishes for a Happy Halloween,
many blessings at Thanksgiving,
a wonderful holiday season, Merry Christmas
and a Happy and Safe New Year!

But before I go, I just want to thank you all again
for your wonderful visits and feedback,
for your continued support that
encourages me to keep writing from the heart.
I will always remain humble and appreciative.

With much love and virtual hugs and Cheers!

Lauren β™₯
