Tardy March Awards for 2012 :)

This post is my way of acknowledging my wonderful blogging friends for nominating me for these very special awards.  Due to time constraints, I am unable to follow through traditionally, but I’m going to echo Deb, http://adamsart.wordpress.com, with her idea of nominating everyone on my blogroll.  The problem is there are so many of you who have supported me and who aren’t on my blogroll.  It is not updated as often as it should be, so, if you have not received any of these awards, then take them, I’m nominating you and pass them on as you wish. ♥

Everyone is deserving; we all work hard to put our thoughts of life, love, faith and sadness on paper.  Our readers “feel” when they read our words or view our art, bringing out new and old emotions and memories.  How lucky, fortunate and honored we are to have such an awesome and huge support system for our creativity.  So, now that you’ve sat down by now (hopefully), enough of my chatting and on to the “thank you’s!”

I would like to thank SHARON at figmentsandimagination.wordpress.com and SOMA at somkritya.wordpress.com, for nominating me for this very wonderful award.  Thank you Sharon and Soma.  I am so honored to be given this award from both of you, whom I think highly of in this blogging world.  Not only are you both talented writers, but you are both kind -hearted, down to earth, compassionate women who see the glass half full always.  I’m honored to know you!  I also have to add that I truly do have a desire and hope for liberty, fairness, peace, hope, prosperity and love for all in this world.  Let us continue to work together in unity for all~

A very heartfelt Thank you to Francina at seasonspoetry.com, who was very kind to nominate me for this ‘beautiful” award.  Very Inspiring Blogger Award

I want to say a big “Thank You” to Fia at http://bluefiadiarries.wordpress.com.  She and I are new friends and I look forward to getting to know her better.  However, what I’ve seen and heard, so far, I can already tell she has a heart of gold, is kind, witty and an honest soul!  I’m honored, Fia, that you thought of me for this lovely award and I appreciate your support and comments.  Please visit Fia, if you haven’t already; you’ll be truly charmed!

1.Thank the person who nominated you.

2. Share 7 things about yourself

3. Pass the award to 7 nominees

7 things About ME: (most of you already know these things; I’m running out of new!)

1. I just adopted a new adolescent puppy of 18 months old (most of you know); he’s a chocolate lab named Copper.  He is bigger than our house, very lovable and just a big goofy boy!

2.  I’m happily married to my best friend and hubby of 23 years.

3.  I have a beautiful daughter, who will turn 21 this year and a handsome son, who will turn 17 next month.  I am extremely proud of both of them.

4.  I am still grieving the loss of my Mom; she passed away last month.

5. I’m a great baker!

6.  I do count carrot cake (my fave dessert) as a veggie!

7.  I try to be the person God wants me to be in everything I do and say~

Lucky 7 MEME Challenge

I was tagged by the lovely Maryanne Pale at maryannepale.com in this fun writing challenge.  Thank you so much, Maryanne, for thinking of me, but, unfortuantely, I won’t be able to take this challenge at this time.  Maybe in the future, so I do hope you understand~If you haven’t visited Maryanne, please do so, as she is a wonderful inspiration through her poetry and her beautiful soul.

This concludes my tardy March awards, and again, if you know me, are on my blogroll, or simply haven’t received any of these awards, feel free to be the recipient.  It’s not about the receiving (although, grateful, we are), it’s about the paying forward, and this is my way of doing just that.  I hope you all understand.

Thanks for all of your continued comments, likes and encouragment.  I am truly grateful~

Hugs,

Lauren

Commenter Award :)

I was recently award Commenter Award!  by Deb at http://adamsart.wordpress.com.  Thanks so much, Deb! The Commenter’s Award is a little different from the most awards. Instead of awarding others for their own blogs, you will be giving recognition to those who comment on your own blog regularly, take the time to really read your posts, and provide you with feedback via their comments. The nominations are the easiest part. You should nominate the six bloggers who comment most frequently on your blog. How do you know who does this most often? Good question!

You will find your Top Recent Commenters on your site stats page on the bottom, right corner. If you do not see this, click on the Screen Options in the top, right corner and be sure that “Comments” is checked. If you are good about responding to every comment, then you will be the first one in the list. It is the next six commenters on the list that you will nominate and pass this award to. But wait! You may nominate one more person. This person can either be a brand new commenter on your blog, the very last comment you have received (most recent), or the one who has posted your most favorite comments. This seventh nomination is your choice, but please do tell us why you have chosen them as your seventh.

Here are my top “commenters” and I am truly grateful for their continuing support!

My new blogging friend – https://mysweatyshirt.wordpress.com

Gabby – http://autumnsunshineandgabrielleangel.wordpress.com

Lane – http://willofheart.wordpress.com

Celeste – http://celestealluvial.wordpress.com

Cynthia – http://songsofseasons.wordpress.com

Deb – http://adamsart.wordpress.com

I can’t just choose one person for my seventh nomination, so I’m choosing everyone on my blog roll and since it’s not currently updated, everyone else who has visited and supported me by providing your feedback.  You all deserve it and as we all know, everyone has different times of the day, week or month, where blogging is permitted, in which we have time to “like” or “comment.”

And if you are new to commenting here…this award is for you too! :-)

Copper, Our New Family Addition

Please Welcome, Copper, the chocolate lab!
He’s 18 months old, very lovable, cuddly,
calm and gentle. He needs to put on a few more pounds,
but other than that, he’s healthy and just a big, goofy boy!

We’re adopting Copper on a trial basis,
with hopes
of keeping him, if all works out.
We hope it does because we’ve all just about
fallen in love with him.
Lucky Girl will remain

in our hearts, but the timing is right
to start new again

with another canine friend.

We’ll be in an adjustment period and I’m already behind
in reading blogs, because of “doggie” searching.
So, my
time may be limited, but I will still do my best to visit you!

I hope you understand and I wish you all a wonderful,
peaceful Wednesday! xo

My family blindfolded me, yesterday, on our way to my birthday lunch.
Our destination was seafood on the bay, exquisite!
And…the best cheesecake and apple pie, ever! 🙂

I wish you all a blessed and peaceful Monday~xx

Love Again

As sure as leaves will fall
at season’s change
and rain will drop
as clouds rearrange
I have fallen through new doors opened
the key I thought was lost forever
you have found so cleverly
the lock had suffered
yet, not broken for eternity~

(for new beginnings)

Forever Love

Faint is how you make me feel and not
Only when our lips connect, but when I
Remember our first embrace and how my
Emotions twirled inside of me, dizzy and
Voiceless, I was and those moments still exist
Even though decades have come and gone
Reflections of those first days are rainbows
Learning the true meaning of bliss, an
Out of the ordinary feeling, knowing you are my
Valentine, lover and friend for the rest of our life together and for
Eternity~
