Fade the Shadows

The world is beautiful,
proof dances all around…
leaves fluttering in a breeze,
butterflies floating by
with grace, but the world
is more beautiful with him.
Even if the sky unfolds,
and a storm rages,
his presence adds a glow
to fade the shadows
and quiet the fear.
If the universe
has stolen my spirit
and descent
is imminent,
his arms catch me
before the landing.
He comprises the tones
in my tapestry,
rebirth in my rain,
fire in my winter.
He is everything
around
in between
within
the world I reside.

  41. Love this Lauren.

    I feel the same way about Norm. We planted a Milkweed about 8 years ago, for the Monarch butterflies to lay eggs in.

    We’ve been waiting.

    Finally, today he sent me a video, it is a Monarch in the Milkweed laying her eggs. I’m very excited.

    Say it again! Love this Lauren, I feel the same way.

    1. Thanks, Resa, and I’m glad this one resonates! And how exciting about the Monarch. We’ve talked about planting milkweed, but our soil isn’t the best, and gophers are still rampant. But I’d love to someday. Thanks again! xoxoxoxoxo 🦋🦋

      1. Gee, gophers are sooo cute! Too bad they are harmful to crops.
        Milkweed grows in poor soil. It’s a weed, and most animals will not touch it.

        Maybe just try one? Only costs a few $$$?

      2. Yeah, to us, they’re not so cute, Resa. They’ve caused havoc in our yard, so it’s not the same. But that’s good to know about Milkweed. I’ve never looked into it, but now I want to.
