These are some flowers from our yard…lantana,
alyssum, and also Mother’s Day tulips, and
great quotes I found. Hope you enjoy, and I
wish you a wonderful day! Lauren 🌼🌻🌷
what a beautiful post on so many levels )
Thanks so much, Beth! 🌼
I thought the Uglow quote was the best one. Lovely blog post. 🙂
That’s a good one quote, Ian. My husband has always had the green thumb, but I’ve learned over the years and have gained more of an interest. Who doesn’t love the colors, but it takes maintenance to keep them looking beautiful. I’ve never had a passion for digging in the dirt. I guess I’m changing. 🙂 Thanks so much!
Lovely flowers Lauren. Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
Thanks, Balroop, and I had a fabulous Mother’s Day with all four of us. It’s tricky now as they’re older and in school or working. So, I’m always very thankful when we can all get together. 🙂 Also, my son’s birthday is on the 9th, so we celebrate both days. Have a lovely day! ❤
A really delightful post, flowers in all their glory are a joyous sight Lauren, love them all especially your beautiful Tulips.
Thanks so much, Ian, for your lovely comment. I’m so happy that spring has finally sprung so we can enjoy these beautiful colors. And the tulips were a beautiful surprise for Mother’s Day, too. Have a great day, my friend…
I sense a theme of gardening. . .
Hmm…I think you’re right, Binky. 😉
Wonderful, Lauren!! 😀 A celebration of gardens in pictures and words. The tulips are beautiful… how do you get cut ones to stay so upright and fresh? And btw have you borrowed my vase?! Only kidding, I have one with a similar design. Happy gardening, my friend, xx
Thanks, Annika! I love the quotes, too; there are so many wonderful ones to choose from. As to the tulips, I think it’s because they’re fresh. After a few days, they may start hanging over the vase as if to say, “I’m truly exhausted from standing all day.” 🙂 Then you could cut a little off the bottom of the stem for them to last longer and stay upright. Oh, yes, I did borrow your vase, thank you very much!! 🙂 I have so many vases that we’re running out of room to store them. Anyway, thanks again, and sending lots of hugs! 🌻
So that’s what the tulips are saying! 😀 🌷 Thanks for the tip to keep them looking great – I’ll try that next time. Have a terrific weekend. 🌸🌺
Hehe, hope it works for you, too, and wishing you the same. So glad the weekend is finally here. 😊💐🦋💗
Lovely quotes, Im only really beginning to discover gardening now at 55, I so wish I had given it more time earlier but I guess its the right time for me. Spring is here.
Thanks, Alison, and don’t feel bad. I’ve never had a passion for digging in the dirt. My husband is the one with the green thumb. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve developed more of an interest. I’m 57, so right around the same age. 🙂 We planted sunflower seeds, too, and it’s exciting to watch them sprouting. Enjoy your garden and have a great day! 🌷
Beautiful post, Lauren!
Thanks so much, Jill! 🏵
A lovely gathering of blooms, Lauren. 🙂
Thanks, Ben! My interest in gardening began to bloom in my fifties. 🙂
I remain am appreciative onlooker, I’m afraid. 🙂
Fabulous quotes and photos! 🙂 Sharing…
Thanks so much, Bette! ❤️🌻🌺
Wonderful quotes and gorgeous photos! ❤
Thank you!! 🦋🌼💐
What a beautiful riot of colours, Lauren! And the quotes are all so true and perfect. I think the one by Audrey Hepburn is my favourite as it expresses so well the essence of all our beings and hopes. Have a fabulous Friday and enjoy your flowers! Xoxo 😊💖
Thanks, Sarah! I love that quote, too, from Audrey Hepburn; it’s so optimistic and hopeful. I’m glad you liked the flowers, also. I’ve never had a big interest in gardening until recently. My husband has the green thumb and makes for a great supervisor. 🙂 I just love seeing all the colors. Enjoy your weekend! Hugs! 🌻🌼🌷🌹💜
I’m also blessed with a green thumb and love digging in the soil, planting seeds and watch what happens next. 😄 It’s always so amazing to see something grow from such a tiny thing. So glad that you enjoy it now too! Happy Gardening! Hugs&love! 😄💞🌱
That’s exactly how I feel now. We planted sunflowers this year and are watching them grow and it’s so exciting! 🙂 Love and hugs to you, too, and Happy Weekend. 💝💖😍🎉🏵
Oh, you’ll have a wonderful time watching the sunflowers grow and later on how all the bees and other insects feast on them! 😄😚💕🐝🐞🌻
What beautiful flowers you have! And perfect quotes to go with. Brightened my day. 😊🌸 (Gardening has been one of my passions since childhood – runs in my family. Glad you’re starting to enjoy it, Lauren.)
Hope you’ve had a great week, with an even greater weekend coming up. Hugs! ❤️💕
P.S. I’m in catch-up mode again here…
Thanks, Betty! It’s definitely wonderful to look into the yard and see the vibrant colors. I’m slowly getting into the whole process, but it does take maintenance and patience. My sisters took after Mom, but I missed something somewhere. 🙂 Anyway, better late than never, right?
The week has been good, but so glad Friday is here and work is done. Hope you’re doing better, too! You have been missed, but I just commented on your new post so great to see you’re back!
Sending lots of hugs back! ❤💚🏵🌹🌼
Yes, better late than never! There’s something satisfying and miraculous about growing and nurturing things from the earth. 🌿😄💚🌱🌻
Enjoy your weekend! ❤️🌸😍
I love all the quotes, Lauren,
And I felt so uplifted. Thank you, my friend, for sharing these words filled with thoughts and truths.
Your flowers look gorgeous. We live in an apartment and don’t have a garden but Lisa has a row of beautiful potted plants. Neighbours pop over just to admire them.
All good wishes for the weekend 🙂
Eric
Thanks for your wonderful comment, Eric. My husband’s had the green thumb, but for some reason now as I’m older, I’m becoming more interested in the process. I love looking out the windows and seeing all the color and feeling satisfaction that my care is helping them grow. 🙂
It sounds like Lisa has a beautiful display of color, too. Maybe someday you can share on your blog along with a haiku? 🙂 There is always a way to embed flora into our homes. I’m glad you liked the quotes, too. My favorite is the one by Audrey Hepburn, but they’re all good.
Wishing you a great weekend, dear friend! 😊
A beautiful post Lauren and the quotes are a magical accompaniment.
I recall someone called Tiny Tim singing a song, Tip Toe through The Tulips.
Kind regards.
Thanks, Ian, and I thought of that song, too. 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed this post, and I appreciate your beautiful comment. It’s funny how we develop new interests as we get older. Have a lovely weekend, my friend!
I love the quotes and such beautiful flowers
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed both, and I appreciate your visit!
Lauren, what beautiful flowers! And I love the quotes you chose for them. Love and hugs.
Thanks, Michelle! Glad you liked both the flowers and the quotes. I’ve been enjoying the yard now, but I didn’t have an interest years ago. Funny how we can change as we get older. 🙂 Love and hugs to you, too, my friend!
The older we get the harder gardening becomes. I just do have the energy I had way back when.
I agree, Michelle. We do most, but we have a gardener that comes occasionally to pull the hard weeds. Otherwise, my husband mows the lawn, and together, we take care of everything else. We’ve never had a gardener until this year, either. But the body knows. 🙂
