Morning After

Sun spills in

through billowing curtains

gently though

so not to startle dreams

Sated bodies delight

in love tangling

Sheets silky soft

caress skin

nothing can compare

to this moment

that shouldn’t end

but we bid farewell

to moonlight

knowing we have sunlight

to share

    1. Thanks so much, Robbie. Years ago, love poems were my constant for writing. I still write them, but I’ve leaned more towards nature and life events nowadays, even though I’m still very much in love with my hubby. 🙂 I’m glad you liked this one though. Sometimes, I return to my older books, and that’s where I found this poem, in New Day, New Dreams. Thanks again for sharing on FB too. 💞

  2. WOW Lauren, what beautiful and loving moments. 🤗 I love this:

    but we bid farewell
    to moonlight
    knowing we have sunlight
    to share

Girlfriend, talk about romantic, romantic, romantic!!! 😍💖🥰

I appreciate your thoughts!
