Maybe one day we’ll understand why
then again, life isn’t black and white
It’s not kind and it’s not fair
sometimes, very hard to bear
Walls will crumble now and then
but the sun will shine once again
We need to trust in Him for strength
keeping fear at arm’s length
He’ll guide us through the blues
on this journey we didn’t choose
In our hearts, hope will stay alive
and in prayer we will thrive

Hugs and healing to you and your family, Lauren. Love and kindness are the only steps to take us forward… and your big heart sees that you do those rather well 🙂 ~ it shines through every line of your poetry, and in your friendships. xoxo

Thanks so much, Joe!
Just perfect Lauren, for those darker days in particular, reminding us that dark times come and go, just like the weather patterns. ❤ Xxx

Life isn’t black and white but you make me think of all the colours in between.
There are definitely many beautiful colors of life that we need to continue enjoying even through the darker times…thanks for stopping by, Jean!
Life can throw us some very unkind curves sometimes. In the end, we can only try our best to keep going and keep fighting.
Very true, Binky, and life is great, even with the unkind curves! Thanks for your comment! I’ll visit Wombieland soon; running behind…:)
I love the colors and all the shades of your poem. It’s true that on the darkest days, it helps to look forward to the sun shining again. Love and hugs!
We are never without His mercies and grace each day. And though life may at times seem like a struggle, all we need to do is trust and hope in Him for He never fails. Blessings to you and your family. I find this poem very inspirational.
Thanks for stopping by, Uzo, and for your encouraging words. I’m glad you found my poem inspirational, too! Blessings and hugs to you, as well!
This is really lovely. The thought I had when i finish reading was if I was to be reincarnated I would like to grow up enlightened.
