Where is it?
I can not plainly see;
just where can it be?
Why must I sit
in this brain fog
for eternity?
I stare at the page
It stares right back
How rude can it be
when I’m in a pickle
It gives me flack
while I float
through this riddle
I’m tired of searching
My muscles ache and
my aching bones groan
I’d love to escape from
this unpleasant zone
So if you see it walk by
please give me a shout
and block its way out
It’s been quite uncomfortable
living in this drought

I recognise this place!!😊 A great poem! So you actually found inspiration in the looking!
, ❤ xxx
Thanks, Chris! I know I’ve been there often, too! 🙂 Yes, silly inspiration in the looking! ♥ xo
Reblogged this on Daily Dose Of Kat.
Thanks so much for reblogging, Kat!
forever searching, everytime I sit and stare at a blank page. you’ve caught the feeling, so well. 😉 x
Thanks so much for your kind words and visit! 🙂
Honey, Your poetry continues to get deeper…and I enjoyed this little bit of humor….you should do a St. Patrick’s Day poem???? LU M
You *know* that if I had any clue where the Muse lives when she’s hiding out from me, I’d’ve told you the secret long ago, Darling! 😉 Great fun in this piece, even if it’s kind of a lament!!
xo
I know you would, yet, your muse never leaves you! 🙂 Thanks for your kind words, K! xo
So know the feeling! Right now I’m doing everything to write! God Bless
I think we’ve all been here at some time, PJ! Good luck and God Bless you, too!
Yeah, you so right! I plan on releasing my thoughts on paper tomorrow! Many Blessings 🙂
Good to hear! 🙂 xx
Yes, I feel like time bomb ready explode, since I haven’t wrote! Which isn’t good! I take all is well on your end?
Yes, all is good right now, thanks! Take care and have a good night! I’m going to get some reading in now…xx
Not to write!
I think it’s a place we have all visited, unwillingly. Luckily most of us can escape from it eventually.
I’m sure most of us have been here before, Binky! And yes, by some bit of good luck, our muse returns with new ideas! Thanks for stopping by again! I appreciate your comments!
Nothing dry here! Very encouraging to hear.
Aww…thanks, Peter! I’m working on pulling Mrs. Muse out of her hiding! 🙂
Hello Lauren,
You managed to write a poem out of writer’s block – now, isn’t that something 🙂
Well done,
Eric
Well, another fun one; what’s life without humor, right?
Thanks, Eric, and have a good week ahead! Take care! 🙂
I do sympathize. I so know the feeling of being a fog staring atva blank page. Well written in a fog.
Thanks! It’s not as thick as it was! 🙂
I can completely relate to this 🙂
It sounds like this “place” is getting many visitors! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Scott!

Been there for the past month! Although it’s frustrating, I now try and think of it as my body, mind and soul re-calibrating: pulling together all the new learnings. And then, when I’m back in balance again… with a sigh of relief… I can write again. 🙂 Lovely poem, my friend. xxx
I love how you think, Angela, and I try to think that way, too! And it’s always good to bring humor into it! 🙂 I’m not getting your notifications and many others; so frustrated with WP right now, so I’ll catch up on your blog this week. We were away last weekend, then my bday was Tuesday and I haven’t been blogging and haven’t posted since the 19th. Anyway, how are you? I hope you’re doing well and thanks for your kind words…love and hugs to you! xoxo
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted Lauren, so you’ve probably not missed anything :-). I hope you had a lovely birthday ~ belated blessings to you. xox I’m well thanks, just had some tooth and nerve pain over this past month (which I suppose is little wonder I wasn’t inspired to write!). I hope you and your family are okay, I have been thinking about you. Much love and many hugs to you. xxx
I’m glad and I need to post something, too! 🙂 Sorry to hear about your pain, but I hope it’s gone by now…we’re doing okay and I send love and hugs to you, along with great weekend wishes! xoxo
