Versatile Blogger Award (2011 End of Year)

Versatile Blogger Award
I have been nominated for this award by two wonderful bloggers:
http://artepiphany.wordpress.com and http://happinessnest.wordpress.com.  I can’t thank them enough for their generosity and thoughtfulness.  I’m truly honored and again, very humbled.

    1. You’re very welcome! You need to copy and paste this post onto your blog, then follow the 4 “things” you need to do; you can modify your acceptance “speech”…when you choose other blogs to nominate, you need to let them know, as well. Then, if you’d like, post the image on your blog…it took me a few tries to finally get it, so I hope this helps, but if you have more questions, let me know. I’m happy to help and it is confusing at first…:)

Ahh another Award, they certainly get around
WordPress these my friend and there will be a
vast amount of different Awards as the year is
    ventured…

Have a lovely start to your New Year of 2012
and do enjoy all of your blogging, whether it be
poetry or the wonderful photographs of your
    sister’s Parrot friends 🙂

  2. Many thanks for your generosity, dear Lauren! I must say again that my time spent here reading your work makes it clear you are much deserving as a recipient, and I am grateful for your sharing this award and, especially, yourself. I enjoyed learning those 7 personal details particularly, since we have some similarities there. 🙂 I’m ahead of you on the birthday curve, having turned 51 last month, and behind you on the matrimonial one, having connected with my life-love when I was 35–but ohhh, he was totally worth the wait!! So I can add that I share #7 with you too, still being head over heels in love. He and I are both road-trip addicts, too, and dream of that cross-country thing you mention. Life is so rich! Having found new friends like you here in the Land of Blog has certainly reinforced that knowledge for me in the last months.
    Blessings,
    Kathryn

    1. Kathryn, thank you so much for your very kind comment and you’re very welcome! It is really neat to hear of our similarities and I’m happy you have found your soul mate, too! It’s something very special to be grateful for and to hold on to! I also concur with your feelings about making new friends in the Land of Blog and I’m very happy to have “met” you through thebardonthehill!
Blessings and hugs to you, my friend!

    1. You’re welcome, Russell! I’m pasting my response up above:

  3. Congratulations for the two nominations! Well deserved!

Thanks of these links to other sites. Looking forward to exploring!

Thanks much for nominating zumpoems.com — very honored!

    Happy New Year!

  4. I don’t know why it’s so difficult for my system to connect to this beautiful site. I love the 7 things about you. You met your husband at 26 and you thought you would never meet him? That’s ridiculous. I’m 27 and yet to meet my husband, still hoping and praying and want to be as happy and fulfilled as you at 51. Thanks for the award Lauren. I deeply appreciate!

    1. Awww…thanks so much, Nita, well, at that time, I had met many guys who just didn’t work out, so I think I was become hopeless, not meaning that I was too old. I simply didn’t have the faith that there were decent guys “out there.” It goes to show you I was wrong and of course, you will meet your Mr. Right, too, and are still very young. I really appreciate your kind words and wish you all the happiness in your future, too. And, congratulations; I’ll be over your way again; I’m still playing catch up! 🙂 By the way, I have the same trouble with some sites, too, and haven’t solved the problem…take care~

I appreciate your thoughts!
