This cute little rocking chair
was made by my Mom’s Father in June 1926.
My Mom is still living and turned 90 this year!
She rocked in it and so did my sisters and I,
their children and my children.
This photo is of my son taken 13 years ago.
We still have the rocker and it brings back precious memories~
A special rocker
made from Grandpa’s hands with love

Love it! Make me think of my niece she came to see me and didnt want to leave.
Thank you! Awww, such sweet memories! I love my kids now that they’re older, but when they’re young like my son in this photo, they’re so precious!
Ahh your son, such a cutie 🙂 things like this are just wonderful to pass through the generations!
Thanks, Autumn! Yes, these make special memories throughout the generations, definitely!
you have a generational piece of history there. Nice
Thank you; yes, it’s been around for awhile and is a great conversation piece with my Mom…thanks for visiting!
That is just adorable!
Thank you! 🙂
I love how some things just last and last. My grandmother’s house has a few of those things that have been passed down, like her writing desk, some dolls, and her china 🙂
In Christ,
Caroline
It’s nice to have special keepsakes…thanks for sharing and for visiting, Caroline! 🙂
You are so fortunate to have those heirlooms. Cherish and guard them always because they could disappear in the blink of an eye. Trust me; I know…
Thank you and I will, definitely~ It sounds like you’ve lost some along the way and I’m very sorry to hear that…
How precious!! I too have a rocking chair, it was my great-great grandmother’s. There is something about rocking chairs that induces nostalgia…….
Well written, you chose the perfect word for the last line!!
Thank you! Yes, rocking chairs are definitely nostalgic and special! I was happy with that last line, too! I’m glad it came to me! 🙂
So, so precious Lauren. “Heart Prints” . Thank you so much for sharing this post with me. Renee 🙂
