Finally

We’ve been stars
in each other’s sky
all this time,
though we never
chose to see –
never stepped
across the line

so much time…
many sunsets lost
before we realized

but here we are
body, mind, soul
offering hearts
to each other,
finally, whole

now each sun shines
a different hue,
each sky delivers
another blue

with our love
for each other
no longer concealed,
we embrace
this new life and
the miracles we feel

Uncharted

Will new doors
dare to open
if what they reveal
is unexpected?

A chance worth taking
to feel more connected
or a daunting challenge
when one feels dejected

For those who live in darkness
afraid to embrace the light
believing darkness
is their only right

Then despair settles with dust
on the lonely shelf
leaving Hope to wonder
