When I look…

In your eyes
I see star speckled
night skies
azure seas and
calm ocean waves
snowy trees
and soft snowflakes
grand, green meadows
dotted with
wildflowers
I could
linger for hours
In your eyes
I see a
rainbow palette
of vivid colors
and the moonlight glow
makes me thankful
You’re my beau
There’s more
I can tell you today
but I’d rather get lost
and drift away

    1. Thanks, Eric, and you said it beautifully, too, and I’m so sorry your comments were in my spam, but thank you so much for reminding me! I don’t understand why they were, but then again, I don’t understand everything about WP! Hugs and blessings to you~

      1. Dear Lauren – don’t worry yourself about the spam. These glitches happen. I’ve had regular commentators end up in my spam folder – ah, technology 🙂

Kinda late over there, I reckon. A great big hug for you from Singapore.

      1. 🙂 aww… thanks. That’s good to know! sending you a hug. I have missed you and your beautiful writing as well but as for as how I am doing… I am great. Thanks for asking! Things are starting off good so far this year Lauren. How are you? I hope all is well. : )

Thats lovely Lauren. I read it to my wife, who then said why don’t I write that to her instead of my obsession with history……… my reply, “only a true beauty can write beauty” 🙂

  2. Wonderfully effective poem to show how all the things we treasure most in this earthly life are reflected in the eyes of the beloved, because they also treasure those same things–true soulmates!

  3. to see into and through the open soul and love through the eyes of your beloved, so beautifully expressed, Lauren. Your Love does seem to even transcend mortal vows and find itself in a deeper sphere of the eternal, one that can open to the portals of Love which is beyond the known. The eyes are the entry to the soul, and only the eternal can pass through as you do. You would never be lost, merely taken into a journey of your soulmates Love and eternal Light. I think it a Blessing. Love, Linda

As always Lauren, you manifest emotions beautifully on paper (well, laptop!). God bless your team – soul-mate & you! Hug.

    1. Awww…thank you, Scott, you are so encouraging and I appreciate it! And I’m sure somewhere deep inside, you’ll find that inspiration again…I miss reading your wonderful writing and I know I’m not alone! 🙂

I appreciate your thoughts!
