Morning After (Re-post)

Sun spills in

 through billowing curtains

gently, though,

so not to startle dreams

Sated bodies delight in

love tangling

 Sheets silky soft

caressing skin

nothing can compare

to this moment

that shouldn’t end

but we bid farewell

to moonlight

knowing we have sunlight

to share

Another re-post for lack of new material. 🙂
So I hope you enjoy this bit of romance a second time
and maybe even a first time for some of you.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead! ♥

Need You Now

I thought I would share another song;
one of my favorite love songs from Lady Antebellum.
I love their harmony, his voice and the piano..
I’ve tried writing poems from songs,
but I end up coming up with the lyrics! 🙂
So I hope you enjoy this musical intermission.

one star-studded evening

a love note lingers

Lets add a little romance
to the agenda for today.
This is an oldie from last year
and I hope you enjoy again.
I need to come up with new material. 🙂

Synchronized Dreams

Stinson Sunset Saturday night

As I lay my head down
I think of your skin
the way it feels
when our loving begins

I think of your shudder
when my journey’s in motion
and
your touch, so soothing

like the tune of the ocean

We ride the waves
though real it seems
we’ll await the moment
not just in our dreams

Following the Sunrise

AZ photo Sunrise poem 2013 Final

This is an extension of my poem from 5/21/13
http://lscotthoughts.com/2013/05/21/sunrise.
I loved this photo from my wonderful and long time friend, Sabrina,
and thought it would be perfect for part of the poem.
So let’s end the week with a little romance
and a beautiful sunrise. ♥

Paradise

Tropical sunrise

I must be dreaming when I say
good-night to the moon
I’m wrapped in your arms
our loving cocoon
then each morning when I wake
I fall into your eyes
swimming in your oceans
with the heat of our own sunrise
and when you pull me in deeper
with your slow moving kiss
we travel to a new world
in this feeling of bliss

Magnetism (Tanka) Romantic Reblog ♥

magnetic-hearts

You’re standing so near

using up my air supply

No feather kisses –

tingling touches on my skin

I need a moment to breathe
