October’s Miracle

I forgot how the sound of rain could be soothing
like the calm of a child’s lullaby.
I heard my lantana sing “Hallelujah!” as the soil exhaled,
the thirst for relief felt longer than eternity.
Silk-thread drizzles dusted rooftops on the street
along with the brown brittle hills with flowing grace.
The fascination of puddles slipped my mind,
the childlike sense of play from a hop and a splash.
And who would think the sight of cocoa-brown mud
could be so entertaining in all its messiness!
Would you believe if I said the flowers smiled at me?
And their leaves offered a gentle wave?
Observing from my slightly opened window,
I caught a grateful sigh from the soaked earth,
and I enjoyed listening to the roots laugh in delight.

Finally

We’ve been stars
in each other’s sky
all this time,
though we never
chose to see –
never stepped
across the line

so much time…
many sunsets lost
before we realized

but here we are
body, mind, soul
offering hearts
to each other,
finally, whole

now each sun shines
a different hue,
each sky delivers
another blue

with our love
for each other
no longer concealed,
we embrace
this new life and
the miracles
we feel

What is your Truth?

Cleveland National Forest

Are you where you want to be in your life
or do you still have dreams pending in the sky?

Do you begin each day with a joyful start
or does ‘worry’ clutter your mind and ‘hurt’ clog your heart?

Are you walking between the lines, feeling confused,
misplaced in the realm of normality, exhausted and bruised?

Try some soul searching for Bravery and invite Peace into your routine.
Give yourself credit for enduring any physical or emotional pain.

We’re not meant to exist simply in green meadows, dotted with flowers,
but remember to breathe in their beauty and to believe in Miracles.

Sending Warm Holiday Wishes ♥

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

It’s been three months since I’ve blogged
and I’ve missed you all!
This acrostic poem is from last year,
but the meaning is just as sincere.
Some of you know why I’ve been absent and for now,
things are stable, but I’m still unsure about returning
to blogland. However, I couldn’t let this year end
without sending my sincere holiday wishes.
So, I wish for you Love, Peace, Hope and Miracles
this Christmas season and not only in the New Year to come,
but for forever~

Hugs and Blessings,
Lauren

May this holiday find you smiling

Enjoying priceless times with loved ones

Rejoicing in the birth of our Dear Savior

Realizing your blessings and finding peace

Yearning for the Holy birthday of the year

Caring for others who need their spirits lifted

Hosting family and friends in cozy gatherings

Remembering, a small act of kindness is a big gift

Imagining the festive spirit throughout the New Year

Seeing the delight and wonder through a child’s eyes

Taking time and letting God’s loving light shine through you

Making magical moments that will turn into precious memories

Allowing yourself tranquility in the midst of the seasonal chaos

Silently saying a prayer for those who are in need of God’s healing grace

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
