Togetherness – a different kind of love poem

Togetherness in Isolation

Isolation could slide into a deafening-silence loneliness,
Suppression of joy needing a breath of a gentle breeze,
Or it could fashion new moments with love and
Laughter even with a faint line of essential distance.
Adapting to this unique state of ‘togetherness’
Takes time like slow healing of energy – it’s not the
Ideal means of making postcard memories, but who needs
Ordinary? For the both of us in these circumstances, there is
Nothing like being comfort and company while isolating together!

One Step Closer

Overcome fears that attempt to control us

Navigate well-planned itineraries and give ourselves encouragement

Examine individual expectations to evade unnecessary pressure

Stay focused, don’t allow visions to become clouded

Turn negativity into optimism, energize minds

Embrace the “can do” instead of dwelling on the “can’t”

Pray for patience and less need for immediate results

Combine dreams with reality and stretch thought abilities

Leave failed attempts buried in the forgiving past

Open eyes to new, plausible, and stimulating opportunities

Support ourselves to avoid preventable disappointments

Edge towards much anticipated, thrilling finish lines

Remember to view the cup half full; half empty will only deter.

Happy Friday and Happy April! ❤️

Acknowledge, then Act!!

Drought

Don’t plunge into panic mode

Regardless of how dire and

Overwhelming circumstances may feel, but

Unless we acknowledge the alarming changes,

Get to work, take the initiative –

How will improvements for future generations

Touch our planet, be allowed to come to light?

I found these beautiful plants on my walk this morning.

Food for thought as a new week begins.

Make it a good one!

Dare to Discover

Zoom became an integral part of everyday language, and

Yes, learning something new is exhilarating – the

X-factor of life – acquire knowledge at every chance, for the

Well-being of humanity is the health of our world. But the

Virus caused the need for this communication tool – an

Unexpected fast-spreading, deadly pandemic, forcing

Tears and heartache to ensue around every corner.

Staying well by dodging fevers occupied frantic minds, but

Relief finally arrived because of innovative medicine.

Quality of life slowly shifts into a sense of normalcy, as

Promises of large, joyful gatherings bring excitement.

Optimism feels attainable, overcoming those worst fears,

Nourishing hearts and souls that have been patient, as we

Marvel at the hustle and bustle on downtown streets –

Loving the sights of mask-less faces with big smiles, but,

Knowing the threat has not dissipated. We are openly

Just aware that moving forward unharmed remains possible.

I, for one, exhale with reassurance, but even so, I carry

Hope closely for those who continue to suffer, and

Gratitude rests in my heart every day for all blessings.

Fulfillment manifests from a support circle of those who

Effortlessly carry us through uncertainty. So, forging ahead,

Dare to discover something you have missed through the slog.

Celebrate the community who has your back, for this is our new

Beginning…

At last!

A new day begins…

Ambience

All-consuming are these
Murky, long winter evenings
Becoming mood changers,
Impeding hours spent in daylight –
Except there is a means to
Navigate through the blackness…
Candles! Let them emerge from hiding;
Entertain their glow and coziness.

Thank you for stopping by
and stay warm!

Forever Love – Acrostic

Faint is how you make me feel and not
Only when our lips connect, but when I
Remember our first embrace and how my
Emotions twirled inside of me; dizzy and
Voiceless I was and those moments still exist
Even though decades have come and gone
Reflections of those first days are magical
Learning the true meaning of bliss, an
Out of the ordinary feeling, knowing you are my
Valentine, lover and friend for the rest of our life and for
Eternity~

For those of you who have been following me
for awhile now, you know that I’m a romantic,
never hopeless, though. So because I’ve
been in a sentimental, sappy kind of mood,
I’m re-posting this from two years ago,

written for my hubby. If you’ve already seen this,
I appreciate you reading again! 🙂 ♥

See you next year! ♥

Dear Friends,

It’s been a busy time now with our daughter home from college for the holidays and hubby and I are enjoying our full house again with her and our son! So I haven’t been online as much and I’m sorry for missing your wonderful posts. I always feel really bad when I can’t stay caught up. Anyway, this will be the last one for me for 2013. However, I’ll still try to visit blogs when I can..
I won’t completely fall off the radar! 🙂

I wish you an abundance of love, peace, laughter and many new wonderful memories during this holiday season. And a big “Thank You” for your visits, as well as, for supporting the arrival of my debut poetry book. I appreciate all of you!  Sending many hugs, much love and I wish you a safe and Happy New Year, too!
I’ll see you in 2014! ♥

May this holiday find you smiling
Enjoying priceless times with loved ones
Rejoicing in the birth of our Dear Savior
Realizing your blessings and finding peace
Yearning for the Holy birthday of the year
Caring for others who need their spirits lifted
Hosting family and friends in cozy get-togethers
Remembering, any act of kindness is truly a gift
Imagining the festive spirit throughout the New Year
Seeing the delight and wonder through a child’s eyes
Taking time and letting God’s loving light shine through you
Making magical moments that will turn into precious memories
Allowing yourself tranquility in the midst of the seasonal chaos
Silently saying a prayer for those who are in need of God’s healing grace

Promises – Acrostic

Love-Couples-sunrise-sunset

Poetic words slide from your lips, so tenderly, as they

Rest in my heart, softened and beating contentedly

Oh, you need not say more, for you’ve already

Mesmerized my soul to its very core and

I shall guard your love eternally, for

Surely, you can see the same

Emotions in my eyes,

Sweetheart…
