Thank you for pulling me
into a tight embrace
allowing my mind to rest at last
my heart to beat at a slower pace
for tears to refrain from sliding fast
I needed this breathing space

Happy Friday, Everyone! I’m grateful for every day, but I can’t deny how glad I am when Friday rolls around. Anyway, for some “end of week” smiles, I’m sharing just a few photos taken yesterday at the Marin Headlands with my daughter and our dog, Copper…It was real foggy and super windy, but we still had a fun time. Although, I think Copper had had enough of the wind. 🙂 Gorgeous views even in the fog, which adds mystery to the photo, I think..you’ll see the Golden Gate bridge is trying to push through and make itself known and the sky couldn’t have been bluer. The last photo is Copper and I making duck faces, while my daughter looks beautiful. 🙂
Wishing you all a Fabulous Friday and Wonderful Weekend ahead! Thanks for all your visits and a big Thanks to all my new followers, as well! ♥
Love and Blessings to you all, Lauren ♥
Copper (our lab) and I recently went on one of our “water tank” hikes. Though we’ve done this many times, I still take more pictures. How many photos can one have of the same location? Well, I guess many, if you try for new angles. It’s kind of like an addiction, but a healthy one. The hike is uphill from our house and we ended up with tall grass hugging us while walking on thin trails and all I could think about were ticks. Copper stays on flea and tick medication but once in awhile, they still manage to get on him.
Luckily, when we got home he was tick free and so was I! 🙂
I’m also including some flowers from our yard.
It’s coming back to life
now that Copper is getting a little older and less mischievous. 🙂
At the top with this beautiful Monterey Pine
View of Mount Tamalpais (Mount Tam),
symbolic to Marin County and the highest peak in Marin Hills
Our grapevine, almost ready for tasting
Yellow Chrysanthemums to liven up the living room
Abutilon – I hadn’t heard of this before,
but I love the colors,
also known as Indian mallow and Velvetleaf
We have no idea what this is, as it moved in
before we did. 🙂
Of course, here’s Copper, my walking partner

I hope you’ve enjoyed this collection
and I wish you a wonderful weekend ahead.
HAPPY FRIDAY! ♥
With a shy confession, I must admit
sometimes, I dream of perfection
where the road ahead is one of silk
and balance has no objection
Where answers dangle from the trees
as butterflies gently pass by
and happiness bounces, abundantly
as high as the big blue sky
However, perfection would prevent us
from growing through the strife
and maybe being grateful
wouldn’t live in our life
So our heartbeats set the cadence
as we march with steps of brave
We find good in the clouds
as the road ahead we pave

Have you heard your inner voice
urging you on,
“You can do it, there you go,
one step at a time,
You’ll be great, You’ll do fine,
it’s never too late?”
If fear is holding you back,
break free with all your might
If you imagine failure
around the corner,
You’ve let yourself down,
You’ve lost sight
So take that baby step,
begin a new chapter
outside of your box,
to your goals be compliant
and don’t fret about
future stumbling blocks
Cause for celebration
isn’t only about the destination,
Winning the race means
fear has finished in last place
and Succeeding means
You have begun…

In my last post, I mentioned that I’ve always loved taking photos. So I’m sharing some flowers for your Friday, though they are amateur. Currently, my only camera is my iPhone, which isn’t the best, but it works for me and is easy! 🙂 Along with the flora, I’ll add a little rhyming fun for this day and I hope you enjoy!
Wishing you all a Fabulous Friday
and thanks for stopping by! ♥
