Tantalizing Tautogram Trio!

Remarkable Redwoods

For a fun Friday, I’m trying something new, and honestly, I’m not sure if my attempts are right! πŸ™‚ I learned about Tautogram poetry on Luisa’s blog, Words and Music and Stories, and she suggested I give them a try. So I did…

The tautogram is best explained by its Greek root words of “tauto” meaning “the same” and “gramma” meaning “letter.” Basically, all words in the poem begin with the same letter.

Here we go! I inserted Friday inspiration and a little bit of Copper!

I hope you enjoyed these tautograms! They were fun and a bit challenging, but I’ll keep trying! πŸ˜‚

By the way, I’ll be hanging out with hubby at our favorite lake in the Sierra Mountains next week, and beginning on Sunday, I’ll be off the grid. So, have a great weekend and a wonderful week ahead!
And I always appreciate your visits and feedback. Hugs, Lauren ❀️

      1. Hi Luisa, my brain was a little confused and I just remembered that it was your blog where I became inspired to try this form. So, I edited my post to reflect your blog post. Sorry about that! But thanks for nudging me to try. ~ Lauren

      2. Dearest Lauren, I am glad I was an inspiration to you.
It was absolutely not necessary for you to mention my blog. Anyway, thank you from the bottom of my heart πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

    1. Haha! Thanks, Annette! I found this form and thought, okay, I can do this! But it was hard! πŸ™‚ So, I was a bit nervous to share! Then again, who cares! We try and try again! As long as these bring smiles, that’s what matters. xo

    1. I hope you’ll try this form, too, Maggie. There must be a million poetry forms out there, so it’s fun to try a new one every now and then. Thanks for your kind words, and I’m glad you loved this trio. ❀️🌷

  1. Wow, Lauren, you’ve nailed those tautograms. They’re incredibly creative and fun to read. I love the way you’ve managed to pack so much meaning into such a constrained form.

    1. Thanks, Debby, we had a great time! I’m just taking a peek at my blog, but I’ll return soon. And no, I can’t imagine saying one of these 3x fast. Hope you have a great weekend! 😘❀️🌻

  2. What a great response to the challenge. You really did get creative there with your words. I also liked how you included exclamation marks – felt your enthusiasm for writing these. Love how you included Copper in this post. Sounds like he was a great discovery that is a beautiful blessing, and he was meant to be called Copper all along.

Hope you had a good time in Sierra Mountains when you read this, Lauren. Hope the weather was great and it was a trip to remember with hubby 😊❀

    1. Hi Mabel, we are home and had a wonderful time! It’s always good to be home, but spending time in the mountains is sacred and tranquil. I’m so glad you enjoyed these poems. They definitely were challenging but fun to try. I’ll have to try again too. And yes, Copper is a blessing! Have a great weekend ahead, and thanks again for your visits and wonderful comments. I appreciate them very much. ❀️🌻

  3. Yes! Those Β tautograms are fab, Lauren.

I’m sure they were tricky to write, but they read like silk.

I’m thrilled you got Copper in there. What a cute puppy!

      1. It was my pleasure to read!
        Thank you, Lauren!

You know, there are so many forms of poetry I just don’t know the rules. Or, when someone lays out the rules, I don’t really have time to absorb it all.

However, I know what I like when I read, if it rolls off my mind’s tongue, or sticks. Sometimes I read aloud.

I’ve been attracted to your poetry from the beginning. Rules or not, you have a way, a spirit.
        Thank you!

      2. I feel the same way about forms of poetry, Resa. But while I’m working, I don’t have the time to try everything I come across in blogland. I’m happy to be able to try something new now and then though. And you are TOO kind! ❀️🌺πŸ₯°
