Togetherness – a different kind of love poem

Togetherness in Isolation

Isolation could slide into a deafening-silence loneliness,
Suppression of joy needing a breath of a gentle breeze,
Or it could fashion new moments with love and
Laughter even with a faint line of essential distance.
Adapting to this unique state of ‘togetherness’
Takes time like slow healing of energy – it’s not the
Ideal means of making postcard memories, but who needs
Ordinary? For the both of us in these circumstances, there is
Nothing like being comfort and company while isolating together!

  1. So beautiful poem to read , written by my dear friend 🌹🙏✍️ happiness or sadness , between
husband and wife want togetherness forever 💕👍🏻colours fade , days change , but love doesn’t
fade, it stays forever and The land and the sky will always be to hear the story of true love 💗
Have a lovely week ahead my friend 🌹👏♥️

    1. Thanks so much, Kym. Once the headache lightened up, I was able to write and read again. When I can’t do either of those, it seems the world has ended. Not really, but it’s tough. Anyway, thank you, my friend. Wishing you a great week ahead. ❤️🤗

    1. Thanks so much, Marina. It’s amazing how we dodged it all this time too until now. It’s been mild which is good, but the fatigue is awful. Anyway, it will pass, and hopefully this week, we’ll feel a bigger change for the better. Thanks for the love and hugs and more coming your way. Stay well, my friend. xoxoxoxoxo

    1. Thanks so much, Steve. It’s one of those state of affairs where things could always be worse. Thankfully, not, but the silver lining is always there if only a slight glimmer. 🙂 Thanks for your wishes too. Take care…

  2. A really great poem. Even though life is tough sometimes it’s nice to have someone by our side. It’s nice you have someone while you’re sick to go through it all with.

    1. Thanks for your wonderful comment, Pooja. Once the headache dulled a little, I was able to write, albeit covid poems. 🙂 But it’s something, and finding the silver lining is always good because it’s always there. It might be faded or slight, but it’s always there to lift spirits. So I’m grateful to have my hubby at home. We’ll get better together. 🙂 Thanks again! xo

  3. A beautiful poem, Lauren. And so right on for people who love each other and are comfortable with each other’s company. I also think that some people handle isolation much better than others. I’ve always appreciated and even needed time alone. –Curt

    1. Thanks, Curt. I enjoy alone time too, but we’ve been isolating with covid since 9/3, so together has been nice. We hope to test negative tonight, but we’re still feeling symptomatic. Slightly better, but it’s a slow process and the first time for us getting covid. Sigh. Glad you had a good time at Burning Man.

  4. You are so good at that Lauren, finding the inspiration and sharing it!
I had a tough experience of isolation, as I was often alone. But I guess it’s different when you are 2 to live through this moment.
Looks like you too found your balance through this special time.
Hope this will be over soon and that you’ll find your energy back.
In the meantime, rest and leep smiling ❤❤

    1. Thanks for your compassionate words, Marie. I’m sorry you had a tough time in isolation, but I know others have. If I didn’t have my hubby, the poem would read differently. Today is the 10th day of symptoms and we’re still positive. Sigh. Oh well, it’s out of our control, so we just have to continue to rest like you said and get better albeit so slowly. Stay well, dear friend. xoxoxo
