Riding with the Wind

It’s freedom, fun, and magical
as tires hum on the road.
A wave of a hand
befits the two-wheel code.
It’s like joining a club
without knowing the named.

The camaraderie –
instantly proclaimed.

There’s no razzle dazzle
of plugging in.
Tuning in to the elements

comes from within.
It’s a taste of adventure
letting the wind guide.
It’s a feeling of joy
that cannot be denied.

Let us journey among redwoods,
seacoast and rolling hills,
drawing in breaths
and exhilarating thrills
.

Oh, what memories you sparked with your poem, Lauren. Adventures and a sense of freedom. Open her up, let’s go… ❀ ❀ ❀

  2. Yeah! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ Lauren, what a wonderful sense of pure joy and excitement you convey in your poem as you set off on your adventures! I love the idea of the camaraderie along the way, and wow, redwoods, the ocean and hills … Just perfect! A great pic of you and your husband as you set off. Is that all your baggage in the box at the bag?! Happy Travels and thank you for sharing a glimpse of them here! Xx

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed this taste of adventure, Annika. Thank you for your awesome comment! πŸ™‚ Our surroundings are beautiful here, so riding is a relaxing get-away. Thanks again and Merry Christmas, my friend. xoxo

    1. Your words echo my husband’s, Tony. Nothing better than…thanks for your kind words and for sharing a pic of your bike too. Awesome! We’re on the KLR but he just bought a 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 XT that he’s breaking in in-between our rides. I’d never be able to take away his motorcycle passion, so it’s good that I go along with it. πŸ™‚ I appreciate your visit and comment! Happy riding, too!

I appreciate your thoughts!
