It’s freedom, fun, and magical
as tires hum on the road.
A wave of a hand
befits the two-wheel code.
It’s like joining a club
without knowing the named.
The camaraderie –
instantly proclaimed.
There’s no razzle dazzle
of plugging in.
Tuning in to the elements
comes from within.
It’s a taste of adventure
letting the wind guide.
It’s a feeling of joy
that cannot be denied.
Let us journey among redwoods,
seacoast and rolling hills,
drawing in breaths
and exhilarating thrills.

Enjoying adventure in 2020.
I know the thrill if riding a bike Lauren… flying with the wind… lovely memories that I cherish! Thanks for refreshing them through this lovely poem.
I’m glad I could bring those wonderful memories to light, Balroop. Thanks so much for your lovely comment. π
Great poem, Lauren. Watch out for road rash. π
Thanks, John, and the good thing is that my hubby isn’t a thrill seeker. He just enjoys cruising around the back roads and I happen to enjoy that, too. π
Thatβs us babe!
Off on another two wheel adventure! LU M
Honey, this weekend’s weather looks good, so let’s plan on a ride. π xoxo
Nothing like a good adventure.
Definitely! π
Oh, what memories you sparked with your poem, Lauren. Adventures and a sense of freedom. Open her up, let’s go… β€ β€ β€

Thanks, John! Happy weekend, too!
You are welcome.
I only have a self-powered bike.
Those are good bikes, too, better for exercise. π
I always knew you were cool. But I didn’t realize that you’re THAT coooool. Looks like great fun. xo
Too funny, Pam. Well, now ya know I do have my moments! π
Riding is relaxing and peaceful, especially with the beautiful surroundings that I know you remember. β€οΈ
Most beautiful county to ride around for sure! XO
What a privilege it is to be able to visit those redwoods whenever you wish.
It really is, Ian. And with each new visit comes wonder and awe as though it’s the first time being in their company. π
Looks like so much fun, Lauren! Lovely poemβ₯οΈ Stay blessedππππ€

Yeah! ππ Lauren, what a wonderful sense of pure joy and excitement you convey in your poem as you set off on your adventures! I love the idea of the camaraderie along the way, and wow, redwoods, the ocean and hills … Just perfect! A great pic of you and your husband as you set off. Is that all your baggage in the box at the bag?! Happy Travels and thank you for sharing a glimpse of them here! Xx
I’m so glad you enjoyed this taste of adventure, Annika. Thank you for your awesome comment! π Our surroundings are beautiful here, so riding is a relaxing get-away. Thanks again and Merry Christmas, my friend. xoxo

Nothing better than being on 2 wheels & enjoying life. When I’m too old to ride they may as well put me down. A great poem Lauren, it really sums up motorcycling nicely. This is my current bike, a Kawasaki Z900 https://www.instagram.com/p/CG3-TeaHt9_/
Your words echo my husband’s, Tony. Nothing better than…thanks for your kind words and for sharing a pic of your bike too. Awesome! We’re on the KLR but he just bought a 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 XT that he’s breaking in in-between our rides. I’d never be able to take away his motorcycle passion, so it’s good that I go along with it. π I appreciate your visit and comment! Happy riding, too!
Looks like fun!! πβ€
