Every day I awake to the sound of roosters. Unfortunately, their idea of time to get up is not mine. I go back to dreaming, too soon to wake to reality. Virginia
I’m run, run, running, Soma, and you are TOO funny! This is real, so now I’m a bit worried about having an agent from outer space live near me…although, it could make life much more interesting! 🙂
Thanks, Geraldine, and I didn’t know they’re good luck! Great to know! 🙂 I loved your haiku and sorry to see you leave this month, but enjoy, and I’ll look forward to seeing you in August! 🙂
no Rooster for me thank you!! I did have a “stone” one in the house…I discovered later that they are good luck but it fell down and broke his uh, “nose”! I love silence in the morning these days, it is a luxury! Love, Linda
Oh, too bad your stone rooster broke! I just found out that they are good luck and that’s nice to know! Okay, now I know, no roosters for you, Linda! I agree with silence in the morning, although, Copper wakes up around 6:30 or 7am, so he’s my alarm clock! 🙂 Thank you and hugs! xoxo
I love them, too, it’s just funny on our block and I wonder if they’re even legal. I’d love to live out in the country or on a farm…maybe in the future! Hugs and love to you, too, Deb, and have a great weekend! xoxo
Ahh, but i have plenty of red-feathered neighbors here in the farm where I live, but their cock-a-doodlings don’t bother me because I’m used to the early-morning sounds they make. I hate it when my neighbors take their roosters to cock-fighting derbies which is a cruel gaming practice here in my country.
I would love to live on a farm, Cynthia, and I don’t mind their …doodlings, but it’s odd in a residential neighborhood! 🙂 And I agree with you about the derbies or any kind of animal cruelty. I don’t understand those who can stoop to that level~hugs!
Hmmm, I think I’d rather hear a rooster than the incessant buzz of an alarm clock! LOL! Nice Tanka, Lauren 🙂
I agree, but I’m not even sure if it’s legal in residential neighborhoods! I’ve never looked it up before! 🙂 Thanks, Julie! xoxo

Awww..it sounds like you live in a very peaceful place, Virginia, but I agree with you, their wake up time is a bit early! 🙂
LOVE being awakened by a rooster! If you are very lucky, you do have a rooster for a neighbor, dear Lauren!
I love it, too, Rose, but it is odd in a residential neighborhood! Wonders never cease! 🙂
ha ha ha oh this is serious..sorry about the ha ha..Roosters are agents of outer space did you know that…man you are in danger Run…now
what a fun poem,,I hope its real cos that would be so much fun 🙂

That would be nice to wake up to the sound of a rooster in the morning. 🙂
Francina xox
It is pretty neat, Francina, just very odd around here, since we’re not out in the country…but I’m fine with it! 🙂 xoxo
Oh too cute! I love roosters, they’re good luck you know! 😉
Happy Wed. G

Ahhh, that’s a good one!
Thanks, Caddo, it just sounds so strange, but I really don’t mind!

You’ve undoubtedly noticed that I’m very fond of roosters; therefore, I would say that even if he’s real, he’s a dream! Cock-a-doodle-woo-hoo!
Well, I really don’t mind, it’s just unusual in a residential neighborhood and I thought I was going crazy at first! 🙂 Woo-hoo back to you! xx
Between you and me, we have loose roosters, bunnies and monkeys! I love it! Much love and hugs xoxo
