Walk with us into
the magic of autumn
where tree-lined
serenity surrounds…
the old swimming hole
evokes precious
memories of when
they were young.
We stumble upon
a home for one
lucky critter,
but built by who?
We’re touched
by the Compassion
on a bench…
Only a short drive,
but as we walk
in the light rain,
reveling in the
fragrance of a
new season,
it seems we’ve
stepped into
a whole new world.

A beautiful place for a walk!
I’m sure you would love it, Binky! π
Good morning, Lauren, Your Fall photos are beautiful and intriguing. A lot going on with this change of seasons. Your poem takes me along on your walk and transports me to some of the trails I walk. β…compassion on a bench…β β…a home for one lucky critter…β. And, yes β…stepped into a whole new world.β I am grateful for this world. Thank you for sharing, Lauren. Happy Thanksgiving! π
Thanks, Erica, and after seeing some of your adventurous posts, I think we have some similarities. This walk was a welcomed contrast to our hazy skies lately, and I’m so glad you enjoyed. Our Thanksgiving is next month and it’s hard to believe this year is coming to a close. What a year! Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Monday! π₯°
We had a lot of smoke up our way, too, Lauren. The recent rain is helping clear things up. Yes, what a year. One day at a time. Thank you for sharing your nature notes and photos. It all creates a ripple effect. The good stuff, too. π
Aaah. I feel like I was on the walk with you, Lauren. What a serene setting and lovely finds along the way. The BLM painted rock was especially nice to see. Your poem was the perfect guide. Thanks for the smile. π
I’m glad you enjoyed the walk, Diana. This park is our favorite and the whole experience was a refreshing contrast to all the fires. I agree, that BLM rock was very nice to come across. Have a good week and Happy Monday, too. π§‘βΊ

Thanks, Barbara! πππ§‘
It is a different world. Perhaps better.
It was a nice change to the smoky skies. The light rain sure felt good. This week, we have another heat wave and windy conditions so more fire danger. π¦
The beauty of fall… I am never satisfied with trapping the moments, be it in words or pictures! You seem to like it too. What a beautiful walk Lauren. Thanks for taking us along.
With all the backpacking, hiking, and camping we do, Balroop, we feel the same as you do when it comes to nature’s beauty and all that she offers. I’m glad you enjoyed this walk, too. π₯°ππ
What a beautiful walk. Thanks for taking us along, Lauren.
Thanks so much, Jill! I’m glad you enjoyed the scenery, too. π§‘π
So very beautiful. It felt like I was in a different world too.
Thanks, Nico, and I’m glad the scenery touched you in the same way. πππ
Peace and blessings. π
Beautiful, Lauren. Thanks for sharing your walk.
Thanks, John! I’m glad you enjoyed the walk, also! πππ

Lovely poem well illustrated by the surrounds π
Thanks so much, Ian, for your lovely comment. ππ
Beautiful Autumn photos Lauren and words…. Nature heals…. I hope you are able to walk mask free when out in Mother Nature…. Many thanks for sharing the beauty you saw… β€
Much love your way β€
Thanks, Sue, and She sure does, doesn’t She? π Anywhere in public in the park, masks are required. But it was okay. It wasn’t like a strenuous hike, just a leisure stroll to enjoy all the beautiful scenery. I’m glad you enjoyed, as well, and much love to you, too. π§‘πππππ₯°
At least here even though more lockdown rules here soon outdoors in parks and openspaces no mandatory mask wearing… People do not realise how pathogens from breathing constantly behind a mask can affect their health .. or understand these masks do not prevent the virus from penetrating it… as its micro small … But the real science is getting censored to the narrative …. Sending love and well wishes β€

Lovely pictures of autumn
What is it about this season that as it ‘subtracts’ the leaves, it opens up a hitherto unknown space in one;s mind for positivity.

Thanks, Shakti, and you make a good point! I love this time of year (minus the fire season). π
What beautiful scenery Lauren and a beautiful poem. So lovely that we have these beautiful scenes to bask in to help us through the difficult times.
Thanks, Alison, for your kind words. And I agree with you about having these beautiful scenes to enjoy in the midst of all the turmoil. Hope you’re doing okay. π§‘ππ
So many nice little surprises. It’s amazing how much the small and simple things can affect our moods. Great post, Lauren!
I agree, Barbara, especially this year! Thanks so much! Iβm glad you enjoyed the walk. πππ
We are all so thankful that this wooded area did not get sparked by fire, Lauren. Your photos capture the magic and essence of this place perfectly. xo
Thanks so much, Pam. This park is my favorite, so if it ever went up in flames, I’d be heartbroken. Hope you have a great weekend! π§‘ππ
