Have you heard your inner voice
urging you on,
“You can do it, there you go,
one step at a time,
You’ll be great, You’ll do fine,
it’s never too late?”
If fear is holding you back,
break free with all your might
If you imagine failure
around the corner,
You’ve let yourself down,
You’ve lost sight
So take that baby step,
begin a new chapter
outside of your box,
to your goals be compliant
and don’t fret about
future stumbling blocks
Cause for celebration
isn’t only about the destination,
Winning the race means
fear has finished in last place
and Succeeding means
You have begun…

Good one, take flight outside of your box.
Happy soaring 🙂
Thanks, Eric, just some fun inspiration! 🙂
🙂 Lovely
Thanks so much, Kruti! 🙂
Very inspirational! Nice 🙂
Thanks so much, Joe! 🙂
What a wonderful affirmation Lauren! Fear is an enemy of mine, probably of us all but I can only speak for myself. Fear has kept me back nearly all my life until I became afraid of fear itself; that is a horrible place to find yourself and it is what led to my drinking too much because alcohol “took the fear away”. Of course it didnt, it merely put a mask on it.
Succeeding as you say, certainly means we have begun. And it means doing things despite the fear. To me that is true success. This kind of success wont give me a degree but it feels as good as or even better! ❤️ Xx
Thanks, Chris, and fear seems to seep it’s way into most of us, I’m sure. I’ve dealt with it and still do to this day. You’re right, whatever we choose for “comfort” is simply a mask and not the solution. I think this kind of success is much better than any degree hanging on a wall. It comes from within. ♥ Hugs, my friend…
Hugs to you too Lauren ❤️ xx
Ah, that familiar voice!
Beautiful, my dear Lauren. 🙂
Thanks, Marina, you are so sweet! This is one that gave me insecurities as I touched the publish button. I wasn’t sure if it would flop or not. Isn’t it funny how our assumptions can be quite opposite of reality? I’m glad you liked it! ♥
Very inspirational, Lauren!
Hugs ♥
Thanks, Deb! Hugs back and have a good day! ♥ xo
Another beautiful one from you Lauren! And the eagle matches it so well!
Thanks, Scott, for your kind words!
Inspiring! A beautiful poem.
Thanks, Michelle, for your lovely complement!
Keep flying high with your motivational words, my dear!! Also, I love that at the end of the poem the message is that success is really only the beginning of living your life freely ((hugs))
Aww…thanks, Christy, for your encouraging words, too, and yes, I really feel that sometimes it’s simply hard to take that baby step, to begin on a new path, and once we’ve done that, we’re moving forward and hence, succeeded, no matter the outcome. 🙂 Hugs to you, too, my friend!
An uplifting and refreshing prose. Excellent image you attached to it.
Thanks so much, my friend, and when I saw that eagle, I was hooked! 🙂
🙂
That’s a nice inspiring piece. Fear does hold many of us from achieving our potential.
Thanks so much, Binky, and you’re right, fear is usually the culprit and if we acknowledge it and break free, then we’re on our way. 🙂
Oh, I love your last two lines, Lauren. Indeed, to succeed is to begin! I love eagles… great poem, my friend. 🙂 xoxo
Thanks so much, Angela! That’s really how I believe, “to succeed is to begin” love how you said that, too! 🙂 Eagles are awesome, I agree, and I knew I found the right image when I spotted this one. Hugs! xo
