BOOK COVER FINAL 1.26.15This collection of poetry is a compilation that speaks often of my emotions and spirit after finding out about my daughter’s illness three years ago. But in contrast to this sadness, I possess a romantic soul and am blessed to have celebrated close to twenty-seven wonderful years of marriage to my husband and best friend. So from darkness to light, through faith and romance, I find strength to move forward. This book takes the reader on a ride of different emotions evoked from life and love.

All proceeds go to The Chris Klug Foundation in honor of my daughter. Chris had the same disease in his twenties, underwent a liver transplant, then became the first transplantee to win in the Olympics (2002). He is a professional snow boarder and lives in Aspen, Colorado, now in his early forties. Please also feel free to share this post with others who you think might be interested in helping with this cause and who enjoys poetry.

His mission is to spread the vital importance of becoming an organ donor; offering second chances. Please visit his site for more information.

I sincerely hope you’ll help with this cause, as the only reward I’m receiving is the knowledge that others are becoming organ donors. Some day my daughter may need a second chance…Thank you so much and if you do purchase a copy, I hope you enjoy its contents, Lauren ♥

“This isn’t a post for sympathy, but a request to help with a cause important to my family. My daughter is fine now, with occasional symptom flare-ups, but the disease is slow progressing and there is no certain timeline showing when things will get worse. Of course, we continue to pray for a healing miracle.”

Chords of Life by Kruti Mehta

Kruti book

I’m so happy for Kruti Mehta and the publication of her new book, Chords of Life (top right corner)…

Alex is everything for Tracy and without him she would be a living morgue. There are days in her life when Kia looks forward to killing her husband. Karma is after Jackson for his doings in the past. Life has taken a full circle and his past deeds are knocking at his doors. Jennifer has nothing left except the memories of her beautiful daughter Rain , whose death remains a tragedy forever. Chords of Life is a collection of strange, morbid, unusual tales of my mind. Our life is like Chords of a Guitar each filled with different emotions at every stage. We may not face the same level of harshness as others, but we do know the bitter truth about cruelty. Each story is crafted with a different emotion within itself.

So if you’re searching for that next compelling book to read in this New Year, here it is! I’ve added it to my collection and I hope you’ll do the same. 🙂

You can order a copy from her blog, http://10eveningflowers.wordpress.com, on the left sidebar widget.

Congratulations, Kruti, and wishing you much success!

Fossils of Memory by Kruti Mehta

Hello Everyone. I am Kruti Mehta, an avid blogger and upcoming author. I have been blogging for the past the 2 years on http://www.10eveningflowers.wordpress.com. While I am not able to connect through many of you, there are enthusiastic friends around me helping me out with the same. Lauren is definitely one of them.
I started blogging back in 2011 with a passion for writing. In the same year I had fantasy visions of a girl, Rhiana. They were so strong that I had to write a story on it. And I started writing a story of a young girl Rhiana Fosters.
“In the small beautiful village of Avina lived Rihana Fosters. Rhiana is a beautiful young girl who gets spooky dreams about places and people that are completely unknown to her. Do these dreams mean anything or is her mind playing tricks on her? Is someone trying to give her a message? The book unveils the story of Rhiana and her friends and their journey towards finding the answers to all these questions.”
My book is named “Fossils of Memory”. Its releasing on 20th August. You can find more details on https://www.facebook.com/fossilsofmemory.
Journey towards it:
The concept of the book is based on imagination and fantasy of dark world. The places and characters are fictional. Writing this book was not an easy journey. I wrote till 2013 January and then I had a “writer’s block”. I waited for three more months to come out of it struggling. While the entire book was complete I could not come out with a perfect climax.

In April 2013 a friend of mine stepped in to the project. Being a blogger and writer herself she offered to help me finish the book. Her name is Himanshi shahs and her blog is http://playfulsoul.wordpress.com. I gave her the space of Co-Author and she drafted the climax for my book. This is how “Fossils of Memory” was complete.
I am a first time author and your support and suggestions would be highly valued. Do let me know if you like my book
