When I think of the new season upon us, I envision warm reds, oranges, and yellows, and vibrant shades of pink. I can smell cinnamon baking in the oven, and imagine sipping a pumpkin spice latte for a morning treat and hot apple cider as an evening winds down. Maybe an occasional indulgence in a delicious apple crisp, and of course, some cozying up under soft blankets.
This is my favorite season, so won’t you join me as we enjoy a little fall-ing? 🍂🍎🍁
These photos are from years past, as summer is stubborn and won’t let the trees transform just yet, but I’m ready for the change now…

1.
crisp mornings join late
summer afternoons to greet
fall’s cozy prelude

2.
leaves change into their
raspberry autumn wardrobe
attire for the dance

3.
new season creates
inundation in its wake
melodious crunch

Do you have a favorite? 1, 2, or 3? Or maybe all three? 😁
Thanks for swinging by, and I wish you a peaceful Sunday. 🩷

I do love all 3 Lauren. They certainly evoke that autumnal feeling. Fall is such a beautiful season, though you’re right, it’s still summer here too. Only had a few cool nights here and there. I’m enjoying the sunshine however, as the garden is thriving. It will be autumn soon enough and I’m already enjoying my pumpkin spice lattes. 😆
Thanks for your lovely words, Alegria. I’m ready for this season, but I have to be patient. 🙂 Cheers to pumpkin spice lattes! Enjoy your Sunday! 🧡🍁
All three are lovely, Lauren. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I’m glad you loved all of these, John. Thank you and have a great week ahead! 🍁
😊
Hi Lauren.
Oh these haiku are so lovely my friend.
Beautifully done.
2 is my favourite 💓 I love the image of nature changing its attire.
Your photographs are stunning too.
Happy Sunday my friend 🍁❤️🍁❤️
Thanks so much for your wonderful words, Maggie! I’m glad you enjoyed these! I can’t wait for the colors to change, but at least I can post about them. 🙂 And their attire is gorgeous! I’m glad you loved that image. Happy Sunday, dear friend! xoxoxoxoxo 🧡🍂🧡🍂🧡
Hi Lauren.
Yes, me too.
I am eagerly awaiting the change in colours.
We are not quite rhere yet 🍁🧡🍁
Always a pleasure to read your words my friend.

The good with the bad.. Enjoy it all! 🍁
🥰😍🌻🍁🍂
A beautiful preview in words and images. 🥰 Thank you so much, Lauren. 🍂
Thanks for your lovely words, Michele, and I’m glad you enjoyed this trio. 🙂 🧡🍂
Such lovely pics, since I’m not getting any autumn leaves 🍂 here, they are appreciated. The book is beautiful, love it.
Thanks on both counts, Holly. I appreciate your beautiful words. 💖
It’s my pleasure definitely 💖
No. 3 is my favourite but I love all of them. Summer is stubbornly hanging on here too.
Thanks, Darlene! I’m glad you loved these. I’m so ready to bid summer farewell. 🙂 ❤️
Me too. Ad I’m a summer person!
🥰
All three are lovely. The photos are stunners!
Thanks, Elizabeth! That means a lot coming from a great photographer! 😁
Thanks, but I’m just learning. I only used my iphone until my class in January – May. My new class started this past week. I’m really impressed with the five other people in the class. Amazing!
Nice poems, Lauren. I could hear those leaves crunching.
Thanks, Anneli! I love that crunch! 🤗
Me too..
Love it and the photos!!
Thanks so much, Ashley! 🌻
All three are beautiful. But, #3 won my heart. 🍂🍁
Thanks, for sharing Lauren. ❤️
Aww, thanks, Tina! I’m glad you loved all but found a favorite too! Hope you’re having a wonderful day! 💖💐
My pleasure. Indeed I did.
Enjoy your week ahead. ❤️
You too, Tina! 💝
My favorite season too! How beautiful, Lauren, images and haikus!
Love and hugs! xoxoxoxo
Thanks, Marina! I’m so ready! 🙂 Lots of love and hugs coming your way, my dear friend. 🧡🍁🍂🧡
Hi Lauren, three beautiful poems and pictures
Thanks, Robbie! I’m glad you enjoyed this touch of autumn. 🍂❤️🧡
What a lovely fall welcome, Lauren!🍁🍂🍃 A preview of what’s to come! 💖
Thanks, Carol! I’m so happy you enjoyed this glimpse into the fall season. 🧡❤️🍂🍁
Superb haiku, and those colors! Good stuff, Lauren. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend, my friend. 😊
Thanks so much, Mike! I’m glad you enjoyed this fall trio. I’m so ready for the wardrobe change. Hope you have a good week ahead. 🤗🍁🍂
We call this yellow time- as Birch is our most prominent Deciduous- and the leaves just all turn yellow. And it has already snowed less than two hours away from here- so I better just stop talking now! hehehehe
Enjoy the yellow! 💛🌝🌻
We are on the opposite end of the world to you so spring is on the horizon here. Yes your fall in the US is a beautiful time of the year but your winters are much too cold for me. I was born in the tropics and spent most of my working years in Asia in the warmer parts. I can remember going through an intense snow storm around Yellowstone Park on a visit and was alarmed to see the snow piling up on the road in front of me so was relieved when I eventually reached my intended destination Mosco Idaho without being snowed in. 🙂
Enjoy your spring, Ian. We’re in the Bay Area, so our winters are mild ~ cold, windy, and rainy, but no snow. 🌻😊
And regular as clockwork the fog comes in the evening and its hard to drive through it.
We’re north of SF, so we don’t get the fog like the city does, which is good. 🙂
Somewhere around Santa Rosa? The trip north over the
Golden Gate Bridge is very beautiful.
Marin County, so not that far north. 🙂 It is beautiful…
Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. October is my favorite month of the year. 🙂 I love all three poems, but if I had to pick, I’d choose #2. I love the visual and the feeling that brings! Thanks for sharing!
I’m glad you liked this touch of fall, Jan. Thanks for your lovely words! 🧡🍁🍂
Such rich, autumn colors in your striking images🍁. All three haikus are an invitation to enjoy fall🍂.
Thanks so much for your lovely words! Have a good week! 🧡
Thank you-I wish the same to you!
They are beautiful colors. Here in Texas most trees stay green all year around, or the leaves become somewhat brown, but we don’t get the rich colors you get up north.
Thanks, Thomas, and it’s too bad you don’t get these rich colors. But every climate offers its own beauty. Thanks for commenting!
❤ beautiful. Lauren
Thanks so much, Beth! 🧡🍁
2! The photo complements the picture amazingly. Enjoy your autumn season there, Lauren. Sometimes, life is like a tree. We adapt to seasons of life.
I mean, the photo complements the poem, perfectly.
I knew what you meant, Hazel. 🙂 Thank you! 🥰
Thanks, Hazel, and I love your tree quote. Have a good Monday and week ahead! 🧡
Have a blessed week ahead, Lauren. My pleasure!
Hello Lauren, how nice! Can’t wait for Fall to start as it’s one of my favorite’s season. Love your photos and poems – summer is reluctant to leave here too but it’s just a matter of weeks for sure.
Thank you for the inspiration and may you have a joyful week 🧡🧡
Thanks for your beautiful words, Marie! Ironically, it’s going to heat up here for a few days. But I’m sure in a few weeks, we’ll begin to see the transformation. I’m so glad you enjoyed this post. Love and hugs, my friend 🧡🍂🍁
All three haikus are lovely, but #2 might be my fav ❤️raspberry autumn is such a cool image. Fall really is the season for soaking in the cozy vibes
Thanks so much, Ritish, and ‘raspberry autumn’ seemed to fit the image. Such vibrant colors. And yes, fall brings lots of coziness. I’m so glad you enjoyed this touch of autumn. 🧡🍂
It does 🍂
Also Lauren, I just ordered King Copper, would live to dive in this weekend 🙌
Aww, Ritish, you made my day. I hope you enjoy the collection with all its smiles and tears. ❤️
Stunning leaves!!
Thanks, Liz! I can’t wait for the colors to change! But it’s supposed to heat up again for a few days. Patience! 🙂
You’re welcome, Lauren! Our leaves have started to change. It depends on which tree you look at.
Wonderful haikus, and I love the matching photos.
Thanks so much, Edward! I’m glad you enjoyed this peek into fall. 🍁
You’re very welcome.
The perfect haikus!! Thank you for posting them!!
Thank you for your kind words!
Lauren!
I cannot pick a fave, as each Haiku is fabulous.
Fall is my fave time too. I love walking in the autumn.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful images with your poetry!
✌️ xxooxxoo✌️
Aww, I’m so glad you loved all 3, Resa! I’m so ready for autumn, but it’s warmed up again for a few days. 🙂 Patience, right? Thanks always for your wonderful words of support and encouragement! 💖🌺💖🌺💖
Yes, t has warmed up!
Pleasure!! 💖🌺💖🌺💖
Beautiful words with your beautiful images. 💜💛
Thanks, Debby! I’m glad you enjoyed these. 🧡🍁🍂

I love fall too, Lauren. You sure captured it!
Thanks again, Denise! I’m ready for it, but summer is still here in all its glory. 🔥☀️🥰
Perfectly setting the tone for my favorite season!
Thanks so much, Annette. Summer is hanging on for us, but I’m waiting. 🙂 xo
Ah, fall is almost here! We even had some cool days to suggest its appearance. Soon the ‘melodious crunch’ will be under our feet. Peggy and I are planning on disappearing into New England for October so we can celebrate the glorious colors. Thanks for sharing you lovely poems with us. Lauren.
I can’t wait, Curt, but summer is a bit stubborn. 🙂 Your New England trip sounds magical – also on our bucket list! Thanks for your wonderful comment, and I’m glad you enjoyed these haiku. Have a great time next month! 🍁
These definitely put me in the mood for autumn, which is only a few days away!
I’m glad, Dawn! I’m so ready, but summer is lingering. 🙂
