A simple verse that speaks volumes about our world. Thank you, Lauren.
Thanks so much, Steve. I appreciate your kind words. ❤️🙏🏻
My pleasure, Lauren. Have a wonderful day. 🙏🏼
I hope you’ve had a good day, Steve. Mine has been super busy, but good. 🙂
Thanks, Lauren. Busy here, too, but good. Mild weather and sun after six dreary days. ☀️
Well, we’ll get rain for the rest of the week, but it’s needed, as long as it doesn’t come down in buckets causing havoc. 🙂 Glad you got some sun! 🌞
😊☔️🌈
A heartfelt poem
Thanks so much, Sadje. 💜
You’re most welcome

🌷💗❤️💗🌷
You’ve written the perfect poem for our current moment in time.
Thanks so much, Liz. Watching or listening to the news gets depressing more and more. My heart aches. 💔
You’re welcome, Lauren. I feel exactly the same way.
There is so much negativity in the press, Lauren. Your poem resonates.
I know, Robbie, it’s hard to process current events. And it’s sad that history continues to repeat itself. Thank you for your kind words. 💜
This is so beautiful and heartfelt Lauren 😘
Thanks so much, Maggie! 🙏🏻❤️
My pleasure Lauren xo
Hugs 💖
May love and peace prevail…
Amen, Curt!
Very powerful. Lauren.
Thanks so much, John! It was written and posted on impulse, so a bit simple with a big message. ❤️
Very relevant thoughts in todays world
Thank you very much, Ian!
A simple yet achingly poignant poem . . .
I apologize for the simplicity, Layla. My mind wasn’t thinking complex; more emotional. 🙂 And then the flower made me think of prayers. So thank you! ❤️
Sometimes simple is the only way to go! 🙂
🤗
You tap into our universal pain with your gentle words. Hugs, C
That’s a lovely thing to ‘say’ Cheryl. Thanks, my friend. 💜
This is like a prayer, Lauren. ❤
Thanks, Carol. The flower made me think of saying prayers, even though I’m not sure if they help. 🩷
cut straight to the heart Lauren and beautiful prayer in your words! xo 😘
Thanks so much, Cindy. Hugs, my friend 🤩🩷
💕💕💕
Amen. 🤍
Thanks, Eugi. 💞
You’re welcome, Lauren.
Poignant words dear Lauren, But yes, HOPE stays Strong xxx Much love xx ❤
Thanks for your beautiful words and love, Sue! Sending lots back to you as we keep hope strong! 💖💖
💛💛💛
Beautiful and heartbreaking, Lauren. I’ve been writing more despairing poetry lately but haven’t shared it yet. How do we feel peaceful and happy when millions are suffering? It’s hard not to feel the weight of all the pain. Thank you for your poem.
Thanks, Diana, and I’m feeling the same, but this is the first I’ve shared. My FIL’s passing was the subject and then the horrific current events. But I’m currently working on a nature poem that may find itself in the spotlight soon. 🙂 Hugs 🩷
Nature is the balm for most of what ails us. ❤
I agree! 🙂 💜
Your few words speak a truth.
Then, in the heart
it seems lost, again.
War, a rich man’s game;
soldiers the puppets
much is lost
nothing gained
remains the same.
Love to you, Lauren! xxoo
…. and I am beyond thankful for the life I’ve had, the time and place it’s happened.
Thanks, Resa, but your words are so powerful! A great addition to this post. And lots of love to you, my friend. I feel just as thankful…❤️❤️❤️

Sometimes hope is all we have, when all else has failed. These three lines carry so much profound weight. Such a timely verse, my friend. Would that there were no more reasons for sorrowful poetry, but alas, this is the world we live in… Beautiful, painful poetry, Lauren.
I appreciate your compassionate words, Mike. Wouldn’t it be bliss if there wasn’t a need for sorrowful poetry? We can hope, but like you said, it’s the world we live in. And sometimes the sad poems are most beautiful. My haiku isn’t complex, but the message is clear. Anyway, thanks so much for your kind words. And by the way, my next poem is more uplifting. 🥰
Sometimes it seems as though there is no end to the bloodshed. Even after all these years we haven’t learnt that the price of war is too high.
That’s exactly how it feels. But as long as there are people who choose to hate with no regard for life instead of accepting others, there will be war. I’ll stay hopeful though. xo
Absolutely, that’s the problem. The people that have so much hate in their heart. I try to stay hopeful as well, but sometimes it’s hard.
It’s hard for me too, Pooja. But if we lose hope completely then all is lost and that won’t be good. Stay well, my friend.
So true, we need to stay hopeful. Hope all is well with you.
Yes, and we’re okay. xo
It’s always the average citizens that suffer the most in conflicts.
So true, Binky, and it’s so tragic. Thanks for stopping by.
