On the little country road to the country town we go where hands on the clock tick slow, slow, slow leading to reflection of memories that flow where thoughts transport to a time that stays aglow

Thanks, Barbara! Each time we drive to West Marin, I’m inspired to write. We just love those country roads and there really is a feel of a whole different (slower) world. 🙂 Happy belated Thanksgiving to you also; hope you had a wonderful day! 💕
Thanks, Betty! Any time we drive into the country, I’m inspired to write. It’s one of our favorite things to do, and the pace does seem slower, which is always nice to experience. Hugs and Love 💝💝💝
Thanks, Sue, driving into the country is always a calming experience. We do it often, one of our favorite local destinations. Wishing you the same, my friend, and hugs back. 💕🌷
It truly is idyllic, Eric. It’s the town of Point Reyes and a beautiful country drive is what we enjoy each time we go. It’s a local favorite destination and very calming. Have a good weekend coming up!
This is such a lovely poem. Lauren, with nice rhythm. I would love to live in a place where time goes “slow, slow, slow”. Love and hugs, my dear friend. 🤗❤️❤️
Aww, thanks, Michelle, for your lovely comment. I love the feeling of time passing slowly and it’s a lovely drive no matter how often we go. Love and hugs to you, too. xoxo
Oh, thanks so much, Michelle. You brightened my day as today is my second ERCP, hoping to get some answers. Right now, I’m staying distracted because of fasting, no food or water and we leave at noon. :O And I wasn’t sure about this poem to begin with but decided to post it. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with its reception. Thanks again, my friend! 💕🌻
It looks gorgeous! Your words describe it perfectly. I’m doing well, thanks. I hope you’re feeling good, Lauren. ❤
It is a beautiful drive and destination and one we visit often. I’m glad you’re doing well, still on break, I assume? I’m feeling good, too, and today happens to be my second go around at last month’s procedure (an ERCP). Hopefully, today I’ll have answers. I’m trying to stay distracted because of no food or water and it’s not until noon. Anyway, it’ll be fine. Hugs to you. 💗
I’ll keep you in my prayers for good results, Lauren. Having yearly colonscopies, I know all about the fasting…no fun! I’ve been on a blog posting break so I can get my book turned in to my editor…my deadline is approaching! Yikes! ❤ Let me know how things go.
Thanks for the prayers and I’ll let you know. Good luck on your book, too. That is so exciting and I’ll look forward to reading it! 💗
Thanks, Geraldine, and I wish you the same, my friend. Right now, I’m on a blog break, so that’s the reason for the reply delay. Big hugs and Merry Christmas! xoxo
Thanks, Naima! I’ve been involved in a writing group, which is the reason for the long blog break. Hope you’re doing well, too! Love and hugs back to you, my friend! xo
I want to go there too.
I’m ready to go again, John. 🙂
