Dear Friends,
I thought I’d share more color from our yard, but the last one is of
Copper from Saturday for his annual doctor’s appointment. He’s
always so good, and they love him, not to mention, the cute factor he
adds to this collection. 🙂 The first photo are flowers given to me from
a friend when we met for lunch on Friday, a beautiful surprise. Anyway,
I’ve included more wonderful quotes. Can you choose a favorite?
“Just living is not enough…one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.”
~ Hans Christian Anderson
“Happiness radiates like the fragrance from a flower and draws all good things
towards you.”
~ Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
“Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love, and fearlessness.
If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love.”
~ Stevie Wonder
“Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature.”
~ Gerard De Nerval
“Love is the flower you’ve got to let grow.”
~ John Lennon
I hope you enjoyed this colorful post and the beautiful quotes, and I
wish you all a wonderful day and week ahead!
~ Lauren ❤🌼🌻🌷🌹😊
Aww – so many beautiful flowers, Lauren! And Copper looks sooo cute – who could resist those eyes? 😉 And I love all the quotes but if had to pick one I think the one by Stevie Wonder would be my favourite. 😄💗🐝🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻🌼
Thanks so much, Sarah, about the flowers and Copper. And you’re right, his eyes are very hard to resist. 🙂 I had a feeling you’d pick that quote, and it’s definitely a good one. I miss my mom, so enjoy every moment with yours. She’s lucky to have a daughter like you.
Hope you’re having a wonderful day, my friend. 🧡🌸🌱☘🌼😀
It´s funny but I do enjoy our time spent together more and more, like I begin to appreciate her being the person she is and not just the mom – does that make any sense?
Have a beautiful day, dear Lauren! xoxo ❤
It makes perfect sense. Now and then, I’ll do things with my daughter (26) or son (23), and as long as they want to hang out with their mom, I’ll take it, not because they’re my children, but because of the wonderful young adults they’ve become. So enjoy those times together. Have a wonderful day, too. I’m baking a carrot cake today for a dinner we’re going to tomorrow night. 🙂 Love and hugs, my friend…💗🍰
Oh, I love carrot cake!! Enjoy the dinner and keep enough room for your wonderful cake. 😉 💕🍰
I will, but only a small piece. 🙂 xo
You’ve got a great garden!
Thanks, Andrew! I haven’t always been a big help to my husband, though, but even the work is becoming more appealing and satisfying. Nothing like being a late bloomer. 🙂
Wow! The flowers are amazing, Lauren. Of course, I love all of the quotes, too!
Thanks, Jill! I’m glad you liked the blooms and the quotes! 🙂 Have a great evening! 💜🌼🌻
Wonderful and uplifting post Lauren. The flowers and quotes. All so warm and positive.
miriam
Aww, thank you, Miriam. I’m glad you found this post uplifting and positive. I don’t think we can have too much of these qualities, can we? 🙂 🏵🌷
I love the first quote. Lovely flowers.
That’s a good one; it’s hard to choose a favorite. Thanks so much, Alison. I’m glad you enjoyed! 🌸
Flowers are so happy! I think the first quote was my favorite 😊 have a great day!
They sure are, and I’m glad you could choose a favorite. I’m having difficulties. 🙂 Thanks so much, Savannah, and I hope you’re having a good day, too! 🌻
Super post, Lauren. Loved the flowers, quotes, and Copper.
Thanks, John! I always appreciate your wonderful comments! Hope your day has been a good one!
Every day is a good one. Thanks, Lauren.
🙂
Awww, I love all the beautiful flowers and all the quotes, but it’s the one of Copper that makes me really smile. 😃🐕❤️🌸🌼🌹🌺 What a loveable face he has!
Thanks, Betty, and Copper would be proud to know that he overruled the flowers and quotes. He’s pretty humble, though (has no clue just how cute and lovable he is). 🙂 Hugs, my friend…💕😊🐶
Beautiful flowers, Lauren. Loved the quotes, too. Have a great week. ♡
Thanks so much, Audrey! I hope your week has been good, too. I’m a little behind on reading blogs, but I’ll be over soon. 💖
If I’ve to choose one quote – I’ll choose John Lennon’s.
As for the flowers – I’ll take them all 🙂
All good wishes, dear friend,
Eric
I like that one, too, Eric, and its relevance is timeless. What the world needs now is love, sweet love. 🙂 🎵 I’m so glad you enjoyed these blooms, also. Friday is in view, so enjoy the rest of your week.
Your Flowers are a delight, and an envy to one who takes pleasure in watering the weeds that grow his my pot plants.
I love the eyes in your Copper, pity you have spoilt him to excess.
Kind regards.
Thanks, Ian, and you made me smile about the weeds. Believe me, we have them, also, and they’re growing faster than the sunflowers. It’s really not fair. 🙂 Oh, and yes, poor Copper is spoiled beyond reason. But it makes him a happy fellow, and if he’s happy then so are we. 🙂 Enjoy your day, my friend!
Some very nice blooms! I have a pink rose too, which is very neglected and gives me only one or two flowers a year.
Thanks, Binky, and why is your rose neglected? 🙂
Laziness and not really knowing how to care for it. It survives despite me.
Well, I’m glad it survives. Persistence lies within all living things. 🙂 Happy Friday, Binky!
Lauren, a post vibrant with sunshine joy … a celebration of flowers and life! 😀😀 How sweet of your friend to give you such a special bouquet, precious thoughtful gift. Your garden flowers are beautiful and I’m smiling looking through them and then Copper is beyond cute! Oh, please don’t make me choose between the quotes, I love them all! Happy Weekend, my friend! Hugs ❤️
Thanks, Annika, and I love your comment full of sunshine joy! I’m glad you enjoyed all the flowers, and of course, Copper, too. And I won’t make you choose between quotes; it’s pretty hard to do. Hope you had a good week and now wishing you a wonderful weekend! Many hugs to you, also!! ❤🌻❤🌻😊
Thank you Lauren, it is a beautiful sunny winter day here and I enjoy the view from my window as I write. Your dog looks like its a happy day for him too. Must be meal time? 🙂
I’m glad you enjoyed this, Ian, and your view sounds wonderful and calming for writing. Copper’s always happy, but this photo was taken at the vet. 🙂 All is good though and they love him. Enjoy your weekend, and sorry for the late reply!
It’s such a colorful post. Copper is adding more color to it. Lovely floweres and quotes. I loved the one about mama.
Thanks so much, Indira, for your lovely comment, and sorry for replying so late. Also, I’ll email you those recipes tomorrow. Hugs!
Your flowers are lovely, but once again Copper has stolen the show and my heart. Oh, those eyes!
With such beautiful quotes, it’s hard to choose a favorite, but I’ve narrowed it down to two:
“Just living is not enough…one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.”
“Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature.”
Thanks for the colorful post. I know I’m late getting to this, but on this dreary, rainy Monday morning it is especially appreciated.
Hope you have a fantastic week.
Love and hugs, Lauren. 💖🌻🌷💖
Thanks, Michelle, and Copper has a way of stealing the show without knowing it. He’s very humble. 🙂 I love your quote choices and it is hard to choose. No worries about being late. That’s how I’ve been, too, working on other writing projects. I’m also glad this post cheered up your dreary Monday, my friend. Wishing you the same and big hugs! ❤🌼😊🌷
There can never be too much beauty in the world.
I agree! 😊
🙂
