We’ll hold each other close
with our hearts beating in sync
Their rhythm will do the rocking
while we drift into sleep
Cloud floating is what we need
to relax our bodies and mind
Creating dreams of only hope,
to the dark not being resigned
When the light awakens us
let our story’s ending be different
but if reality hasn’t changed,
guide us forward without ignorance

Yes, sometimes we go to sleep with burdens aplenty – and awake so light and easy. Who did we meet, who did we commune with – who took another straw off our back?
As I read your offering, Lauren, these thoughts came to mind.
Peace,
Eric
And sometimes, when we wake, reality is the same, so we need not be ignorant, but advocates for positive changes in the future…:) Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Eric, and I’m happy to have inspired, once again!
