Congratulations. I have just received this special award (first time) and I was almost in tears when I read the requirements.
It makes you feel really good to know that you have made a difference in someone’s life.
Thank you so much and congratulations to you, too! I suppose there have been many tears in blog land after reading about this award. It does make us feel good knowing we’ve made a difference. Lets continue together, okay? Take care!
Together we stand.
I agree! 🙂
Hi, congrats for the 2nd HUG. As you already received that award I’d like to ask for your help. I’m confused about that award, I was nominated for it (but the person nominating me was confused herself), so she could hardly give me useful instructions.
I’d like to ask you:
1: I went to the HUG homepage and left a comment that I’d exept the award, but I didn’t get any response so far (has been 2 days).
My question: will there be any conformation at all? Because there a some other awards out there which are already given with the nomination (like Versatile Blogger Award).
2: How do the winners of the HUG get announced? Is anyone contacting you or will there be something on the homepage? How long does the process take (days, month)?
Sorry to bother you with so many questions, but I really had no idea whom to ask. So thank you very much in advance. 🙂
Thank you and your confusion is valid…your nomination is also the award, i.e. you have been given this award. There is no announcement, except, from the person who is “nominating or passing the award” to you on their post. With each award comes a set of rules, so normally, you copy the person’s post who nominated and follow through with the rules…The HUG award is a little different, whereas, you are not allowed to change any of the text and after you nominate others, you need to leave a comment on Connie’s page, letting her know who you passed it on to…if you want to simply copy my post, that is fine, or copy the post of the person who gave you the HUG award. But, then you’ll have to list those who you are nominating…then you need to leave a comment for each of them, letting you know you’re nominating them. It’s easier than it sounds, once you’ve done it a few times…in the beginning, following through with the awards can be daunting, but the true purpose, is to share the love and recognition, dominoes affect…I hope this makes sense, but feel free to ask any questions you may have. I’m happy to help! Right now, I am really behind on reading other blogs, but once I catch my breath, I will visit you, too, so thank you again!
Thank you so much Lauren for giving this kind of award, knowing that you are able to touch others people life’s by sharing what you have is really touching and inspiring… Your blog is one of my fave whom always inspire and uplift my spirit by the power of your wordings, Congratulations, sending hugs to you… Lane
