Work Trilogy Haiku

I.

Schedules and deadlines
follow me unfailingly
where are you, hammock?

II.

trees dance in the breeze
to wind’s melody, a glance
from the glaring screen

III.

grateful not to be
en route to unemployment
eager for Monday

In honor of Friday,
but very happy that we’re both employed.

Have a wonderful weekend, Everyone!

Silent Knight – Haiku

Human hazardous

actions cause unthinkable

harm; strong will to live

Allow me to introduce to you Silent Knight…
a Sea Lion of strength and courage,
who endured 5 bullets to his head,
leaving him blind in both eyes.
Instead of giving up the fight,
he now happily thrives on life in the local zoo,
with the help of kind-hearted humans nursing him back to health.

This is only one heartwarming story of mammals struggling to live
after human’s thoughtless and heartless acts of violence.
All of the stories touched and tugged at our hearts~

If You Believe

Don’t you wish that you could fly
above the clouds in the clear blue sky,
soaring with the angels near,
erasing all your worries and fear?

Wouldn’t it be amazing to swim
in the turquoise ocean just on a whim,
gliding with a friendly dolphin,
serenaded by an elegant violin?

Imagine skipping through a lush meadow
with the company of a vibrant butterfly show
or tip toeing amongst the glowing stars
to the music of strumming guitars

Close your eyes, twinkle your nose
Cross your arms, curl your toes
Blink three times, twirl around
Concentrate; okay, here goes…

Hello Monday! :)

There is no poem for today,
but for the lack of a poem,
I though I’d share these beautiful flowers
my hubby and I bought at a local
farmer’s market this weekend.

I just love fresh flowers in the house.
The colors brighten the room and lift spirits
and remind us of God’s love through
nature’s beauty that we have
an abundance of…

Wishes for a Magnificent Monday! ♥♥♥

Endurance

We race with the hands
of the clock on the wall

usually in last place

like a slow, dragging crawl

 Everything must be now
instant gratification

when we should slow down

and feel appreciation

 Maybe what we’re waiting for
isn’t meant to be

It’s all in the timing

and not all about “we”

 If you’re a believer
it’s really up to Him

and what His plan entails

not just our personal whim

So exhale a little slower
demonstrate some tolerance

It’ll all come together

with just a bit of patience
