Work Trilogy Haiku

I.

Schedules and deadlines
follow me unfailingly
where are you, hammock?

II.

trees dance in the breeze
to wind’s melody, a glance
from the glaring screen

III.

grateful not to be
en route to unemployment
eager for Monday

In honor of Friday,
but very happy that we’re both employed.

Have a wonderful weekend, Everyone!

These are GREAT, Lauren! I love the trilogy, idea too (you know the trouble I have not writing long poems!). God bless your weekend–let’s get the party started! love, sis Caddo

    1. Thanks, Caddo, my muse has been vacationing, so I was hoping these would be okay! Blessings to you for a great weekend and yes, let’s get the party started! Woohoo! Love and hugs to ya, sis!

  2. Lauren I took your poetry to heart today. I don’t have a hammock but I do have a bed outside on the covered patio. I’ve grabbed a pile of magazines and a book and curled up and plan to spend the whole day indulging myself. All is very quiet here. Good Husband off doing magic with the Volvo so I am beginning the week-end in luxurious do-nothing style. Have a splendid week-end dear friend. Virginia

    1. Virginia, you definitely made me smile! I’m so glad you are able to take time for relaxation just for you! We all need those days or moments more often than not! I hope the rest of your weekend is just as wonderful as today! Hugs!

I appreciate your thoughts!
