These are GREAT, Lauren! I love the trilogy, idea too (you know the trouble I have not writing long poems!). God bless your weekend–let’s get the party started! love, sis Caddo
Thanks, Caddo, my muse has been vacationing, so I was hoping these would be okay! Blessings to you for a great weekend and yes, let’s get the party started! Woohoo! Love and hugs to ya, sis!
Nice Haikus. I’m liking the work theme.
Thanks so much, Joe, and you were my inspiration, so I hope you don’t mind??
Why not at all! I am honoured! 🙂
Great to hear, thanks, Joe! It’s nice to be inspired by a fellow writer! 🙂
Lauren I took your poetry to heart today. I don’t have a hammock but I do have a bed outside on the covered patio. I’ve grabbed a pile of magazines and a book and curled up and plan to spend the whole day indulging myself. All is very quiet here. Good Husband off doing magic with the Volvo so I am beginning the week-end in luxurious do-nothing style. Have a splendid week-end dear friend. Virginia
Virginia, you definitely made me smile! I’m so glad you are able to take time for relaxation just for you! We all need those days or moments more often than not! I hope the rest of your weekend is just as wonderful as today! Hugs!
Amen to that, Lauren! Beautiful poem! Love and hugs xx
Thanks so much, Deb! Hugs and love to you, too! xo
Where are you hammock? Haha, hope you find it this weekend, Lauren. 🙂
Subhan Zin
Well, the sofa will do and it’s been productive and relaxing all in one! Thanks, Subhan! 🙂 Hope your weekend has been fun and relaxing, too!
I think I need a hammock!
Me, too! 🙂
Hi Lauren,
I love this. I can so relate haha! Wishing you a relaxing weekend.
God bless xox
Thanks, Maryanne, I’m so glad you can relate, too! Hugs! xoxo
It’s good to be reminded of the joys of employment as opposed to the pain of the other.
Thanks, Sandra, and well said! It’s too easy to take the path of least resistance, right?
Yes, the blessings of employment are mixed with fatigue and underwritten by gratitude in all those wise enough to step back and gain perspective as you do here, Lauren.
Of course, we look forward to retirement, but until then….
Thanks, Rose! xo
Beautifully worded haiku trilogy, Lauren!
Work gives us paid employment, weekends are for the passions in our hearts and souls, and sometimes that is a passion for doing nothing at all.
Thanks so much, Diane, and as great as it is to be employed, I am soooo glad it’s Friday! It’s nice to see you and have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
