Gobblers by Masticadores Publishes “Cozy Vibes”

I was excited to find in my inbox that my latest poem written about this beautiful season, “Cozy Vibes” is featured today on Gobblers by Masticadores! A huge thank you to Editor, Manuela Timofte, for her continued support of my writing by sharing it on her esteemed literary site. 🩷🙏

Cozy Vibes

Sidewalks no longer sizzle
beneath summer’s intense embrace –
a sign anticipated by the leaves
with an abundance of grace.

Each year around this time,
they’re excited for the change,
like a model walks the runway,
new colors rearrange.

Shades of cranberries and squash
warmly enter stage left…

  1. Congratulations, Lauren! It is a happy thing, for us to capture nature’s fall season in such lovely words and images… makes it more enjoyable, this time of the year 💕 maybe even as if autumn is looking at itself in the mirror too, who knows.☺

  2. Reminds me of summer in India when I was there where the average temperature before monsoons was 46c and tar bubbled on the roads with lower class people walking barefoot across the bubbling road. How they did it without serious burns I’ll never know.

  3. All things grand about October, Lauren. And I can second them just having wandered through New England where the leaves were gorgeous and the halloween decorations spectacular! Thanks for capturing the season, and for sharing your thoughts on Gobbler. You really do know how to capture feelings.
