On a bike ride over the weekend, I had to take a photo of this beautiful cactus. I hope you enjoy my Monday haiku musings. Wishing you a fab week ahead, and thanks for stopping by. ♥️

This is beautiful Lauren
Thanks so much, Sadje. 💞
You are welcome
I have one of these plants in my garden. Lovely haikus to go with it.
They’re beautiful, Darlene, and thanks for your lovely words. 💞
Very nice, Lauren.
I’m glad you enjoyed this post, Anneli. 💞
Although all three are good, I like ‘A’ the best followed by ‘B’. So as you posted them in a fine order.
Thanks, Ernie, and great minds think alike? 🙂
Beautifully written haiku, Lauren.
Thanks so much, Balroop. ❤️
Great photos and beautiful poems!
Thanks very much, Luisa! 🥰
You’re more than welcome, Lauren ❣️
Lovely haiku!
Thanks, Liz! 🥰
It looks like an artichoke agave. We have them here. I love your haiku.
I’ve seen a lot more cacti lately and this one is beautiful. Thank you, Elizabeth! 💞
When I first moved to Arizona, I had an app that identified the plants and cacti for me to help me learn the names.
What a great idea!
It was helpful!
Beautiful, both the photo and the poem. I too am drawn to texture and those amazing designs in nature. Such artwork in even the most mundane plant forms.
Thanks for your lovely comment, Deborah. Nature never disappoints, and I like what you wrote about “artwork in even the most mundane plant forms.” I almost pedaled right by this beauty, but then told my husband that I wanted to stop for a photo. 🙂 I’m glad you liked the haiku also. 🥰
I love the layers, found in all of life
I do too, Beth. Thanks! 💞
Ah, Lauren, beautiful a -b and c and that succulent!
Happy Monday, my dear friend!

Hi Lauren x
Truly my pleasure always my friend .
Plants are like humans, each one has its own uniqueness.
One pair of eyes never views anything the same as another’s

Very much enjoyed the haikus and beautiful image!
Thanks, Pooja! That’s great to know! ❤️🌷😊
You’re most welcome! 🤗❤️
Great combination of photo and haikus, Lauren. My first thought was artichoke, which set off a pavlovian response. Grin. Peggy and I have been living in cactus country for the past few weeks. Amazing how diverse and beautiful they can be.
Thanks, Curt, and I agree about the artichoke. 🙂 I’m liking cacti more and more, and they’re definitely more popular around here now. And I agree, diverse and beautiful. Happy travels!
Thanks Lauren. Be sure to check out the two blogs on the Mokelumne Wilderness. It’s one I would nominate for your backpacking trip this summer. Next up is the trip through Granite Chief and Desolation Wilderness.
I will, Curt. I’m behind on reading blogs but I’ll remember. 🙂
Beautiful haiku, Lauren. Nature never fails to spark our creative senses. Hugs! 🌵💚
Thanks so much, Eugi, and I agree! Sending lots of hugs to you! 💞🤗
Gorgeous came to mind when I saw that cactus. It’s a poem of nature and you wrote beautifully to it, Lauren.
Thank you for your poetry, and have a great week!

Thanks so much, Annette! You made my day! Have a great day too! 💞

I’m so glad, Michele! Thanks so much for your lovely words and wishes. Mine has been good, but glad it’s hump day, closer to Friday! 🙂 Wishing you the same! 💕🥰
Thank you so much! 💕
Wow, you grabbed a great photo while out on the bike ride – I love how it is a down view and then a bit to the left – and your haiku went so well with it.
Thanks, Yvette! I almost pedaled by, but I’m glad I stopped. Cacti intrigue me more and more. 🥰
They are so interesting and when I saw this in the reader – it reminded me of a huge reason I like blogging – we so much nature, fauna, and plants that we might not see in our area.
I was reminded of how expanded my world becomes and I might have to take another long blog hiatus later – but in the meantime, sure am enjoying a decent blog groove – for many reasons – but especially for the nature photography
I totally agree with you about one of the benefits of blogging. It’s nice to see you around, Yvette! 🥰
thanks for the 🥰- and sending some back 🥰
This is delightful! Indeed, plants don’t need to have flower blossoms to be beautiful. It’s in us to appreciate the textures 🌞
Thanks, Dave! I’m glad you enjoyed, and I couldn’t agree more with you about plant beauty. 🤗
Nature has so much beauty if we stop to look at it.
Exactly, Binky, and I’m glad I stopped. 🙂
Lovely haikus Lauren! Love how you penned them and how a bike ride could be such an inspiration 🙂. Wishing you a great week.
Thanks so much, Marie. It’s amazing when inspiration flows in. 🙂 Wishing you the same, dear friend. 💜
Lovely haikus, Lauren.
This is fantastic and lovely haikus too🙏🙏🙏
This is a great picture, Lauren. Lovely haiku to go with it 🪷
Thanks so much on both counts, Robbie. I’m liking cacti more and more. 🌵🥰
